Movie Reviews of Power Yoga - Stamina

Movie Review: A good stress-reduction, physical experience
Summary: 4 Stars

You really can't go wrong with Rodney Yee. But he does lack the attention to the viewer and practitioner you'll get from Bryan Kest, for example. He doesn't talk to you or about your feelings and the poses are too quick in some places to do much good. A pose should be held about 12 seconds at least. You're in up dog about one to two seconds and must revert to down dog.

Nonetheless, you get a good general physical workout and feel tenseness fade. So this short yoga session serves it's purpose.

For a good 20 minute power yoga session, get Bryan Kest's 20 minute session. You'll hold the poses longer and perhaps enjoy it a bit more.

Recommended.

Movie Review: Perfect- For Intermediate
Summary: 4 Stars

In the reviews I read before I purchased this DVD it mentioned that it really wasn't for beginners. As I had been doing yoga for a couple of years, I bought it. The reviewers were right in that you have to know the moves before you watch. Knowing that, though, I think it is a good vid and well worth the money.

Movie Review: good work out. but little too fast.
Summary: 4 Stars

I always thought that Yoga suppose to be more relaxe.. but his up and down and up and down with the same routine, I felt a bit dizzy after a while.
some of many moves really help to stretched my body after all.

Movie Review: A quick, light stretch, but not very rigorous
Summary: 3 Stars

I got this because I was looking for a very short yoga routine to do in the mornings before work, and I'm a big fan of Rodney Yee's Power Yoga Total Body workout. "Stamina" is a 20-minute routine that does cover all the bases -- sun salutations, standing poses, one balancing pose, a couple easy backbends, a few sitting poses. However, the moves are held so briefly that at the end, I don't feel as though I've done anything. I've been practicing yoga for a few years, and I'd say I'm at a intermediate level. "Stamina" is too quick for beginners, because there's no instruction, and too easy for intermediate, but maybe if you're just in-between, it would be useful. I feel like I get a better stretch and challenge just doing the first 20 minutes of Rodney Yee's Total Body DVD than doing this one. I suppose I'll keep it around for days that I just want a very quick, light routine.

Movie Review: Quick workout, but not very rigorous
Summary: 3 Stars

I've been practicing yoga for about 5 years now. Rodney quickly moves through his most common poses. The workout is short so don't expect to break a sweat. I enjoy this DVD workout when I just want a quick stretch.
