Movie Reviews of Porcupine Tree: Arriving Somewhere

Movie Review: Can't stop watching it!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great concert by an exceptional band. I love these guys, and I'm sure that's making my review a bit bias.

Porcupine Tree is not the band for people that like a "stage show" (guys running all over the stage, crazy lights, etc.). They are a band for people that like the music. This delivers that in a big way.

I would have liked to have all the concert footage on one disc (the two bonus songs are great). That's my only complaint.

Movie Review: "Arriving somewhere" Porcupine Tree

Since discovering this band some years ago I have been waiting forever for a live DVD, well, at last....and what a revelation ! An awesome event of total musical crafmanship, tone, passion and a flawless delivery of sheer great songs - no stage flash , no ego's - these Brits kick major butt ! Buy this in a heartbeat, also buy their older live album "Coma Divine" with origianl drummer Chris Maitland ( he was just as good as Gavin Harrison)....enjoy at will!

Movie Review: Awesome

Best prog rock out there today. Steve Wilson is a genious song writer. Musicianship not on the same level as virtuoso Dream Theater (that is - PT doesn't try to impress with speed and crazy good technique). But the compositions and lyrics are far superior (especially compared with some of DTs latest albums). This live performance does justice to a lot of PTs best/recent work. A must have for any serious prog fan.

Movie Review: The best live performance in existence!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been around a long time and heard almost all of them. This is the best for a number of reasons:

1) Steven Wilson
2) Porcupine Tree, damn they are great and Gavin is a killer, listen to this version of Hate Song.
3) DTS version, if you have it or know someone who does, listen there
4) best song writing going out there now, the world is full of crap now, but this you must hear.

Movie Review: Lord have mercy!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Why aren't these guys, like, the most popular rock band in the world right now? These guys have more talent than any three of my favorite bands put together - I'm talking Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and the Beatles rolled into one. Love these guys!!! And they've put together an amazing concert DVD here. Next best thing to seeing them live. I'm in love with this band.
