Movie Review: Under the Shade of the Porcupine Tree
Summary: 5 Stars
First, to be honest as a fan of Porcupine Tree it would be hard to disappoint me and this DVD package certainly did not. Because my chance of getting the opportunity to see the band live is not very good I was glad to get a chance to see PTree on stage and this concert performace recorded in Chicago during the October 11th and 12th 2005 portion of the Deadwing Tour.
The setlist is good, as with any live concert footage unless it is sliced and diced from multiple shows you are limited to what the band plays in the show but this is a good selection of the bands material over several albums. I won't go into the specifics the product info gives you that but it is a good representation.
The video is good live stage action, some of the footage from the stage video, multiple angles, the black and white segments fit in well with the Deadwing theme and art work.
There are some nice extras, a segment of concert footage from the Rockpalast show and options that allow you to enjoy the video productions from the band. It provides some good variation from the concert footage.
Overall I was well satisfyied.
