Movie Reviews of Piglet's Big MovieMovie Review: "I tried stopping, but it was snow use" Summary: 5 Stars
If you were going to let your kids, watch one Disney aniated movie, this is the one for the to watch, because it is not going to scare them, or contains any violence. This is a rare Disney animated movie that deserves to have a G rating. And you ight also be please they your kids, wnat be scared or deand you to take this back to the store. Like a lot of the other Disney animated, this also has songs, mostly pefromed by Carly Simon. And one song has Carly Sion and the voices of the characters peforming the song. As the movie opens, Winnie the Pooh, (Jim Cummings), and his freinds Eeyore (Peter Cullen), Tigger (Cummings again) and Rabbit (Ken Sansom) has a new idea to get honey from the hive of the bees, they get thier attention, they lure them into a fake hive, and then close it up, and then collect the honey, but thier is no part for Pooh's freind Piglet (John Fiedler) to play in the plan. And Piglet is the one who gets the bees in the fake hive, and then closes them in. But his friends doesn't give him the credit and leaves the capture of the bees to them (not Piglet). Piglet wonders off into the woods, and when the bees do escape from the hive, they are so mad, they see the with thier honey, and chase them all the way to Piglet's house, and they found a scrap book, and discover that Pigelt is not with them, so they decide to head off with the scrap book, to find Piglet. The movie songs was perfomed by Carly Simon.
Movie Review: Fantastic for Families Summary: 5 Stars
I have watched many versions of Winnie the Pooh, from the A.A. Milne originals to the more recent "New Adventures..." to the Book of Pooh. A Piglet Movie is much more A.A. Milne, which I personally find refreshing. The storyline is very gentle, and the feelings evoked by the themes are very familiar to small children (being too small, not being noticed, being lost and frightened). Each short story within the film was carefully chosen and fit perfectly with the overall theme. The search for Piglet and his magical scrapbook tie them all together seamlessly. The folksy Carly Simon music may not be some people's first choice, but it just works somehow in this movie. Just right. This movie has just the right amount of humor and excitement to hold a young child's interest without overkill. There were a couple of initial moments of nervousness for our 2 and 4 year old, when the bees were chasing Pooh and his friends, and again when Kanga gives Piglet a bath and Piglet is clearly terrified. My children have since relaxed, as they now understand these scenes a little better, but it may help to explain what's happening to little ones.
Movie Review: "Is it a starling or a mackerel?" Summary: 5 Stars
Wow. What a wonderful movie. Full of heart, love and light. Piglet gets the big focus here (with longtime Piglet voice John Fiedler shining like the Northern Lights), with all of his friends who are usually so wrapped up in their own plans and misadventures to really notice the influence and help The Small One actually gives them. Pitch-perfect from start to finish, the movie gives all characters a time to shine. Pay no attention to the Amazon review which accuses it of being saccharine and plundering from A.A. Milne's books... All of the stories spring forth from Milne's actual literature, including the so-call "offensive" skit in which Rabbit freaks out over the arrival of Kanga and Roo. (and look for the golden moment in which they come across Rabbit's picture in Piglet's memory book.) "Piglet's Big Movie" is a wonderful reminder that a world harsh and unfeeling can also give birth to Pooh Bear and his friends. It's hard to remain dry-eyed when Piglet finally comes home, and sees how important he actually is. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Anyone who doesn't think so is made of stone.
Movie Review: Very Sweet Movie Summary: 5 Stars
I took my 5 year old son and his friend to see this movie. My son is a HUGE Piglet fan and sleeps with him every night. His friend could care less about Piglet, but what the heck it's an opportunity to eat popcorn. I am happy to report both children really enjoyed the movie, as did all of the children in the theater from what I could tell. The whole gang goes looking for Piglet after he wonders off during a honey hunting escapade. At his home they find a book of wonderful pictures of their time together. They believe if they follow the pictures it will lead them to Piglet. Each picture leads to a new story. And that's the best part, they are NEW stories. Not just Disney rehashing the old for the sake of making a buck. There is a great sequence in the end involving all the friends coloring pictures for Pigelt and I could just imagine little one's thinking they couldn't wait to get home and color. There's no foul languange, no potty jokes, no violence, just wonderful characters, sweet songs, and friendship. It was a great break from today's stressful world.
Movie Review: Big On Heart!! Summary: 5 Stars
This movie, like the Tigger Movie, was very cute and fun. I enjoyed sitting back and watching this loving movie with my son.The story was very nice. The animals of the 100 acre woods are out looking for Piglet using his book of memories to lead them from place to place hoping the books remembers where Piglet is. While going through they remember old stories from Piglet's memory and makes them all realize how underappreciated Piglet is. As they re-examine those memories they see how pig of a part little Piglet had and they come to have a new-found love for him. It was very cute and heart warming and should remind us all to look for the little guys in our lives who make a big impact on our lives. Very lovable. Even I enjoyed it!! If you have kids you need to watch this movie.
