Movie Reviews of Peter & Paul DVD

Movie Review: Peter and Paul NOT Mormons
Summary: 5 Stars

MaryKay claims that "One thing that seems to be COMPLETELY missing are any BAPTISMS and CONFIRMATIONS (baptisims with water, and then the laying on of hands and baptising with fire, the holy spirit.) Clearly, according to all biblical accounts these are required ordinances which were primary in the work being done."
Excuse me? The video accurately portrays the ministry of Paul and contrasts it with that of Peter. Peter and Paul were NOT Mormons! As a matter of fact Paul himself said in 1 Cor 1:17 "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect."

Movie Review: Wonderful Acting and Biblically Accurate.
Summary: 5 Stars

Considering how Hollyweird typically butchers anything related to the Scriptures, this made for TV production is quite a pleasant surprise. Much more Biblically accurate than anything else I have ever seen produced for TV, this production is wonderfully acted by Anthony Hopkins and a slew of other great actors. Very moving and very inspiring, I highly reccomend this for Bible Study and personal viewing. This also accurately depicts the personality differences between these two men yet shows how their great Love for Christ allowed them to put their personal differences aside for the good of the Gospel of Christ. Great learning tool!

Movie Review: Peter & Paul movie
Summary: 5 Stars

The movie is great, and very close to scripture. It is slow at times, but helps to visualize the events of Peter's & Paul's lives. It also tries to fill in the blanks pertaining to why there was contention between Paul and Mark. It also portrays the tension between Peter & Paul, concerning Peter's double standards/double-mindedness pertaining to how the Greeks/Gentiles were to be treated. I am thoroughly enjoying the movie. I hope this helps in your future choice in purchasing this movie, it is a great Christian movie to watch to gain insight into the "why's and how's" of the bible, while putting a face to a name.

Movie Review: Love this!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an awesome movie portrayal of the life of Peter and Paul. It picks up after Jesus leaves them to establish His church. As you read in the book of Acts, Paul starts out seeking to eliminate the Christian church and ends up being it's greatest promoter. This movie does a great job of portraying the struggles of Peter and Paul and hold very true to the Bible. I had it in VHS and gave that to a friend only to purchase it on DVD. I have watched it several times and it always brings the book of Acts to life for me!

Movie Review: Mostly True to Scripture
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is quite true to Scripture; beginning with the stoning of Stephen and in Act 7, and it takes you through the Book of Acts nearly chapter by chapter. By it, you see the tremendous conflict between Paul's new, pure, heretofore secret grace gospel, which he received directly from the ascended Jesus (Ephesians 3:1-5), principally for the Gentiles, and how it conflicted with the early Jewish believers at Jerusalem. We see that the Jewish Jerusalem pentecostal church opposed him and his message continually.
