Movie Reviews of Perfect Body

Movie Review: For what it was....
Summary: 4 Stars

This movie was perfect for young female gymnists to watch. It focuses on the pressures and stress of being in a competitive sport. I think the actress did very well in portraying a young girl with anorexia. This is a must see for everyone. Well done.

Movie Review: Perfect Body delivers a perfect 10
Summary: 5 Stars

Welcome to Andie's world. A world of school, training and eating disorders. Andie Bradley is a high achiever who accels at anything she does. When she gets the chance to train with an Olympic coach and has the opportunity to go to the Olympics, she jumps at it. Only after her and her mother relocate to Seattle does the pressure begin. In the most humiliating moment of her life she's put on scale in front of the entire gym and told to lose weight. So she does. Only she couldn't stop once she started. Thus, begins her spiraling downwards into the devestating world of anoroxia and bulmia. This is very well made movie and highlights the stress and strain that female athelites feel and the pressure to be thin and perfect. This is not your average movie. The stress Andie feels is acurately portrayed and the pain of her parents is raw and real. This movie achieves its goal to tell a story in a thoughtful and compelling way.

Movie Review: Horrible acting
Summary: 1 Stars

Not only was the acting horrible, but the process from being a normal teenage girl to a weight obsessed gymnast was not believable at all. Basically, the middle part was fine. The beginning and ending to this movie did not flow. I was not convinced she had an eating disorder.
