Movie Review: I love Balmar!

I can watch this movie over and over and still laugh to myself. Although this movie has a touch of the typical John Waters darkness, Pecker makes the viewer laugh the entire length of the film. This is a true favorite.Wandering the streets of Baltimore, Pecker's camera glimpses life on the lesser-fortunate side of the tracks. With its tongue-in-cheek quality, Pecker's adventures are endlessly amusing and entertaining.
Some may say this isn't John Waters' finest films, but it definitely may be his most enjoyable and most funny.

"I work in a gay bar in baltimore, we call everyone Mary". This is one of the most simple lines but it is made hilarious by the fearless performance of the underrated Martha Plimpton. This John Waters film may not have the outrageousness of past films but if you judge by that then you are proabably too old or just an arnold loving geek whose speed might be Phantom Menace!!! Other great performances come from Ms. Ricci (is she capable of being bad?) and Lili Taylor. A truly funny comedy.Movie Review: a sweet, hilarious flick...

I loved this cute yet hardly innocent movie...it's a funny tale of a slightly exaggerated real life family...I've heard so much about Edward Furlong, but I've never seen him in a movie...I'm so glad I finally have...he plays his part with charm and caring...I wish I knew a boy like Pecker. The supporting cast is just as funny...I think I'm a permanent John Waters fan...Movie Review: A must-see for photographers

Almost anyone familiar with the so-called "art scene" will also find many poignant moments. There's a lot of visual and verbal innuendos, so it's great viewing the second and third time around. I've loved all of Waters' films, and Pecker has become my favorite film of all time. Ricci gives a flat performace, but everyone else is so damn amazing, they make up for her lack of talent. This cute, quirky film is subtle in it's wackiness-- for the more intelligent of Waters fans. Amazing, amazing. I LOVE IT
