Movie Reviews of PaulieMovie Review: A Wonderful Movie. No Other Film Can Replace It Summary: 5 Stars
This film is the best one out there. I have loved it ever since I was young and I still do in the present. I was four years old when this came out in 1998. "Paulie" is so touching, I actually cried at the end, considering the movie is about a talking bird trying to find his owner. The plot becomes interesting and heart warming in every scene. Even though it's rated PG, that really doesn't matter. The whole point that this movie teaches is courage, friendship. This movie is a masterpiece and not even another film can replace it. I highly recommend it to teens, children and adults.
Movie Review: A Great Movie for All Ages Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this movie because we have a conure and thought it would be a fun movie to watch. We were quite surprised at just how good it is. I remember when it came out but it didn't seem to make it at the box office and that's too bad. If you just want to see a good film that will make you laugh this is it. I've loaned my copy out to several folks and they have all bought one now. Everyone agrees that Paulie has a great cast and is definitely a wonderful movie for all ages!
Movie Review: A movie I could send to my granddaughter! Summary: 5 Stars
Funny, intelligent, warm and touching - and a movie that wouldn't embarrass me if I were watching it with my 12 year old granddaughter. I'm mailing it to her immediately (she lives out-of-town). I really enjoyed this movie and I would recommend it to anyone, any age. It has something for everyone in it.
I wish Hollywood would come out with more movies like this one. The actors are great and natural. The birds and animals in this movie are amazing.
Movie Review: PAULIE Summary: 5 Stars
Paulie is an awesome, awesome movie. One of my absolute favorites of all time now. Tony Shaloub is as terrific in this movie as he was in his long running TV series "Monk". Jay Mohr is hilarious, even Gena Rowlands were hilarious and when is Cheech Marin not hilarious?
This is a hilarious, heartwarming and feel good movie if ever there was one. We absolutely loved it. It's a real keeper and one of those movies you can watch more than once.
Movie Review: Paulie Summary: 5 Stars
Charming family feature directed by John Roberts benefits from a sly, funny script that helps the movie avoid a case of the cutes. Top-notch casting also helps, with Marin and Rowlands both stand-outs. Also credit Roberts and Mohr with making Paulie an unusually expressive parrot- an adorable character we can actually root for. Parents needn't squawk about "Paulie": the movie rewards kids and adults in equal measure.
