I was at the second show of this spectacular event at B.B. King's, and it was a night I shall never forget !! I was ecstatic to hear that the DVD was finally coming out, but lo and behold: it was "sold out" within five minutes and is currently unavailable anywhere !! I sincerely hope that Critics' Choice will get it back in stock, because I had originally ordered five !! Chris Czerwinski
Summary of Paul Shaffer and His British Invasion
In September 2003 Mike Smith the lead singer and keyboardist of the legendary Dave Clark Five suffered a spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed. Paul Shaffer(Late Show with David Letterman) a long time fan brought together The Zombies Peter and Gordon Denny Laine Billy J. Kramer and The Fab Faux to perform a historical British Invasion concert at B.B.King s Blues Club in New York as a tribute to Mike Smith.This once-in-a-lifetime gathering offers such iconic hits as The Zombies Time of the Season and She's Not There original Moody Blues member Denny Laine performing Go Now and Billy J. Kramer s timeless Little Children. It also includes the historic reunion after 37 years of legendary Peter & Gordon playing A World Without Love and other P&G classics. Rounding out the lineup are special appearances by Steely Dan s Donald Fagen and The E Street Band s Mighty MaxWeinberg.In March 2008The Dave Clark Five was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
