Movie Reviews of Paper Moon

Movie Review: Blue moon
Summary: 5 Stars

This is truly a work from the heart. A true family affair, as father and daughter work as a team to bring a real uplifting, and occasionally very sad, story of a man who needs a woman to share his life. Little does he know that that the woman would turn out to be a little girl. A little girl that he 'may' have fathered without his knowledge. This is filmed entirely in black-and-white and is carried out so perfectly that the vintage look is right at home. A simple, subtle movie with some hilarious moments including a lusty Madeline Kahn. I've been a fan of Tatum O Neil since 'Little Darlings' stole my heart many years ago. But, upon seeing this movie, which was made before Little Darlings, i have to say i am now an even bigger fan. A truly beautiful and talented actress. An honest and sentimental film for all ages.

Movie Review: "Pray Tell. . ."
Summary: 5 Stars

No matter what we think of the personal lives of Ryan and Tatum now, (none of our business, anyway) there can be no denying that this Father/Daughter team could act--and what-on screen chemistry they project. Their expressions and timing are amazing as we imagine them using their real lives as valuable experience for the roles. The whole motley crew is entertaining. Con man, standoffish and manipulative young female offspring, exotic dancer, Trixie Delight, played so well by Madelyn Kahn, the bickering of young Addie and Trixie over "possession" of Moses Pray, the rich textures of the rural Thirties landscape. It is a beautiful, beautiful and humorous movie. I wish the father and daughter could have given us more of this wonderful stuff over the years.

Movie Review: A beautifully evocative film.

I don't think I have ever seen a film that captures and delivers the essence of the depression era as well as this.
The cinematography and set design is outstanding, so much so that the film could be from the era it depicts and not the 1970's when it was actually made. Quite apart from the aesthetic beauty and historical accuracy, the central performances are stunning, the O'Neil partnership is electric and thoroughly hypnotic. Tatum O'Neil shines with irridescence as the wise, astute, tough little cookie; Addy. While Ryan O'Neil is beguiling as the lovable rogue. Khan is also impeccably comedic and vilely acidic at once.
A deserved classic and one of the most amazing child actor performances in cinema history!

Movie Review: ADDIE LOGGINS, MAM, ADDIE LOGGINS".

Movie Review: Perhaps One of the Best Movies Ever
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie was a complete surprise for me. It was funny & touching. Tatum O'Neal was brilliant and her co-stars were excellent. The chemistry between Tatum & Ryan (real life father/daughter) is obvious, too bad off screen was a completely different story.

The adventure begins with Tatum (can't remember their names) losing her mom in death and find Ryan. The pairing makes for a wild ride especially when they come across Madeline Khan (very funny) and her "assistant" (she's hysterical).

Tatum won an OSCAR for this performance and you'll se why.

Check the movie out you will not be disappointed.
