Movie Reviews of Paid in Full

Movie Review: Definite Classic Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars

I first saw this movie in the movie theater when it was released knowing nothing about the real story of the drug-lords being portrayed in the movie (Alpo, AZIE and Rich Porter) when i left the movie theater i thought this was the best movie i ever seen. Everything about this movie is perfect, the way the director and Damon Dash made the movie work out was perfect.

For those of you that dont know this movie was a true story about 3 Harlem drug-lords who ran NY in the mid 1980's at the age of 16 and 17. They would make $50,000 a day (selling 2 ki's of cocaine). This movie teaches u alot about the drug game, the good part and deffinately the bad. This movie being a true story is what makes it so good, knowing that these events really happened make you want to know more about the characters. This is the 2nd part to the life of the drug lords. To learn more about them get "Game Over (Part 1)" which is the real documentary on em.

Guarentee u will like this movie. 100% classsic

Movie Review: Paid in full is a sad exciting and true story

Paid In Full DVD
Paid In full is a movie filled with twist, turns, and one that will keep you on the edge of your seat. When I found out that this movie was based on a true story I knew I should give it a watch. After watching this movie I never realized how hard it is to survive on the streets as a drug dealer and there are very few people you can trust. It is a movie that is very explicit with content but if your there to get a message it is delivered and it makes you realize that this type of stuff goes on everyday in our life. It was up there for some of my favorite movies gangster wise like get rich or die trying, never die alone, and boyz n da hood. The movie turns around 1 hour and 40 minutes and has a nice pace all the way through. For a movie with a low budget money wise it sure delivered a message and as a movie as a whole. Overall paid in full Is a must see DVD in my opinion and if you can pick it up anywhere I would suggest you do it.

Movie Review: One of the Greatest Hood movies ever made.
Summary: 5 Stars

Paid in Full is one of the greatest hood movies ever made, although this film goes far beyond just being a hood movie. The realness of the characters and situations enables the viewer to feel the characters emotions. Their happiness, hopes, and fears. The actors and directors really meshed together and this is evident in the quality of the film. Most of the film was actually shot in Harlem where all these events took place so the movie has a certain roughness to it that really helps the viewer to understand the environment and the atmosphere of the time.
This is definately a five star film. The drug dealing, violence, and sex are great aspects of this film because these aspects give the film edge. Overall this is a good story and the actors in this film really did a good job of allowing the viewer to develop a relationship with them and their feelings. Great story, great actors, great directors, great film!!

Movie Review: Engaging, Realistic View of the Growth of the Drug Culture
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie is truly excellent! From the gritty, somewhat documentary like, style of cinematography to the understated, convincing acting of the main protagonists, "Paid in Full" is thoughtfully and consistently directed and produced...and is wholly effective. While its production style is more like most independent, "artsy" films, the storyline and its portrayal are riveting, intense and wholly authentic. Unlike most of the overly sensationalized films about the drug culture, the somewhat intrinsic elements of violence and sex take backstage to REAL character development. My litmus test for the true quality of the movie is the degree to which I continue to think and talk about it after I've walked out of the theatre. I can safely predict that I'll be talking about "Paid in Full" for some time.
