Movie Reviews of P.S. I Love You

Movie Review: PS I Love You
Summary: 5 Stars

Very quick service and great movie! However, on a separate note, I had ordered The Molly Maguires through Movie Mars via Amazon. The DVD they sent me would not play in the US. They informed me that it was a DVD which could only play in Great Britain DVD players. I sent it back to them and asked them to send me one that could play here. They did not but instead credited my account, less what they paid to send me the incorrect DVD in the first place, and apart from what it cost me to send the incorrect one back to them. I don't feel I should have had to pay and shipping charges due to their error. Also, rather than having my account credited, I would have preferred simply receiving a DVD which I could play!!! Not happy!

Movie Review: The Ultimate Tear Jerker
Summary: 5 Stars

Hilary Swank is such a versatile actress. Is there a role she can't play well? In PS - I Love You, she plays Holly, a young widow who's lost the love of her life to cancer. Gerry, her husband, knows his death is going to be hard on her and arranges a year's worth of letters and gifts to be delivered to Holly at specific occasions.

The year sees Holly take an emotional roller coaster ride. At time she completely withdraws and friends and family go from concern to just having enough of it and moving on without her. In the end, with the last letter from Gerry telling her get on with it, and a heart to heart with her mom, Holly rejoins the world, reconnects with her friends and finds a new path for herself.

Movie Review: Absalutely Loved what I saw of the movie.
Summary: 5 Stars

I had rented the movie from Family Video saw part of the movie because the video started breaking up when she was on the plane. Which made me so angry and I thought I would get another copy and the same thing happened so I have desided that I am going to buy the movie just to see the ending without the interruption. I loved the first part of the movie and I just had to see the rest of the movie not just because I love Irish men but because I love love stories, tenderness and anything about true love not this flings and short term relationships but real true love. This is what this movie is truely about real genuine love long lasting love. Something we should all study and follow up with to make this world a better place.

Movie Review: A great love story
Summary: 5 Stars

After forcing my girlfriend to sit through Walk Hard & Alien Vs. Preadtor 2 I was dragged to see P.S. I Love You and I have to say that I was pleasntly surpised. Unless she's playing a man Hilary Swank in my opinion always plays Hilary Swank in every from The Core to Freedom Writers. Mrs/ Swanks gave one of her better performances as Holly and earned a new respect from me. The chemistry between Swank and Butler is charming and heartbreaking when their love is lost. The emotions are geunine and the tears are earned and not forced unlike some romantic films. I want go into anymore deatil about the filn as the trailers pretty much give away the plot, but if your romantic at heart then this is a film you'll enjoy.

Movie Review: Possibly the Best Romantic Comedy since Moonstruck
Summary: 5 Stars

A beautifully intricate plot that metes out humor and grief in regular measured doses. Death, mysticism and psychology are intricately married alongside rather intelligent wit and occasional slapschtick. Swank and Butler are both sexy, gorgeous, brilliant and perfectly cast. Lisa Kudrow is the only weak link, as per usual, as it always seems like she simply walked into the wrong door (from the Friends studio); but I got used to her by my fourth or fifth viewing. Death is handled as frankly and productively as in Meet Joe Black - one of my other favorites. For thems what loves a good laugh, cry, laugh, cry, laugh, cry, with a little sex and magic, this gem is virtually flawless.
