Movie Review: Wonderful and gentle Jewish education
Summary: 5 Stars
My kids (especially my nearly-2-year-old) loved the first OyBaby so much that we had to get the second one, just so that we could put something different in the DVD player occassionally. OyBaby 2 is just as appealing to the kids, and even more so to me as the production seems a little more polished (and the puppetry is better). The music is exceptional, both in the arrangements and in the overall sound. So much contemporary Jewish music is schlock, it's hard to understand why more people can't produce things as beautiful, joyous, and accessible as the music here. Since it's in our DVD player daily, and since I'm also a musician with a pretty critical ear, the quality of the music is extremely important. The visuals are excellent as well, and it's fun to see some of the original OyBabies in their roles as big brothers and sisters. Our two kids (4 and 2) loved the original oy baby and we love watching it with them. Number two has only expanded our joy! The songs are familiar to my husband and I from Sunday School and camp and we are so glad that our children get an jump on learning these songs. We also enjoy the gentle graphics and the familiar scenes that accompany the songs. We find our kids singing and dancing along with the video which, during the winter in Seattle, is one of the best indoor activities we could ask for! We know that this DVD is great because our kids ask that we sing the songs to them as their bedtime music! THANKS OY BABY!Movie Review: A PERFECT BABY/ TODDLER GIFT

my daughter received Oy Baby 1 as a gift for her 1st birthday. She'll be 2 in 2 weeks and LOVES the music and watching the video so much. She's memorized most of the songs- especially Dayenu- which she requests to listen to several times a day. It is sooooooooo wonderful. She's getting Oy Baby 2 for her 2nd birthday. I am 65 years old; our grandkids are 10, 8, and 8. Still wanted these for Mother's Day because they are so charming and special! Will get the OyBabys for baby gifts! Love them - both 1 and2... My two year old twins LOVE this video, as well as the 1st Oy Baby. They have been watching it since they were one and they never tire of it. The music is beautiful and the pictures are entertaining. Now the boys are starting to repeat the Hebrew songs, prayers, letters and numbers!!
