Summary: 5 Stars
We have looked for this movie for awhile. Our kids remember it from long ago and loved it. I believe it is a true story but even if not it could have happened and the events are certainly believable. Good choice for our family.
Summary of Ordeal in the Arctic
In one swift moment, a military airplane on a routine mission evaporates from the radar screen without warning-and takes a dive in the glaciers of the Artic. As the dazed crew scrambles to uncover the crash survivors, Captain John Couch is the first to realize the gravity of the situation. With only a small cache of supplies and an encroaching storm on the way, rescue seems hours away. Couch attempts to rally the crew to hope as the sub-freezing temperatures close in on the unprotected group. A rescue team works feverishly to reach the crash site by land and air, but they are deterred at every turn. Based on a true story, the movie tells the dramtic story of real-life heroes.
