Movie Review: One of the best comedies so far this year!

I really enjoyed this film! It was totally engaging and fun to watch. Not one dull moment. Colin Hanks is great as the lead character, and Jack Black is hilarious as always. There are lots of great actors and actresses in this film, and they all deserve credit for participating in it. The writing and direction were great! It is a great film about a boy's struggle to get into the college of his dreams. There are cameos by Ben Stiller and Kevin Kline as well. This flim was a treat!I highly recommend this movie. I wish more teen comedies were as intelligent as this one. I plan on getting the DVD when it arrives. See this one, be entertained!

Orange County is about a teeenager trying to get away and start a better life. Colin Hanks is the teenager trying to get away from his family and the suburban life to study at a college outside of Orange County. What makes him want to leave is a writer's work he finds on the beach. He learns a very important lesson when he finally meets the writer, who he wanted to study under. It is an entertaining movie, and it is funny at some parts, but don't expect this to be really humorous or a teen flick like most movies are these days. I absolutley loved this film. I don't think you can truly appreciate it unless you actually know about, or better yet are from, Orange County. The kids in the movie might as well have been based on my friends. Shaun's family is barely exaggerated: The drunken, gold-digging mother, the money-hungry craddle robbing father, the dead-beat older brother, ALL CLASSIC ORANGE COUNTY! There are so many small references and semmingly unimportant lines that only an Orange County local can truly appreciate. This Movie was suprisingly good. I went to see it for laughter, but got alot more. Acting was decent, but not good, but there was a plot invloved in the movie, and while it had some off the wall antics, it was nothing like the teen comedies of today (scary movie, american pie 1/2, Not anthother Teen Movie, ETC) Jack Black Played a Hilarious Role in this film as the slacker/stoner brother,who always messes things up. The other charaters were funny too, but Jack Black (Lead Singer of Tenacious D) Won my Vote for funniest person in a comedy, this Year.Movie Review: O.K. Probably the BEST COMEDY MOVIE EVER !!!!!!!!

I watched this movie for the first time on VHS (I live in Bolivia and these kinds of flicks hardly get to the movies) because I am a very HUGE HUGE fan of Jack Black. He is one of my favortie actors ever. He is hilarious and smartly stupid. This flick is the right one for those who apreciate good comedies. But for those who don't like crazy comedies, then DO NOT watch this one.
I think this one is one of the best comedies ever. Watch it, I sugest.
