Movie Reviews of One, Two, ThreeMovie Review: Rib-splitting Billy Wilder comedy Summary: 5 Stars
What a shame this movie is currently out of print. I found it through a dealer on amazon.com and sent it to a friend. It's one of the most hilarious movies I've ever seen. The head of Coca-Cola Germany (Cagney) gets involved in a crazy case of espionage between East and West Berlin in 1961. Words cannot describe the plot. Not a dull moment in the entire film. Be prepared to laugh!
Movie Review: Where was his Oscar? Summary: 5 Stars
If ever anyone deserved an Oscar for his/her performance it was James Cagney in One, Two, Three. He was brilliant. It was non-stop comedy and even after all these years it is as funny as in 1962 when it was made. Forget the rubbish the studios are turning out today and buy this movie. Good supporting cast including Arlene Francis .. and the guy who played Schlemmer was a hoot.
Movie Review: A capstone to a career as one of America's greatest actors Summary: 5 Stars
If anyone needed more convincing that James Cagney is one of America's greatest actors, then this last movie before retirement should seal the deal. Talk about going out on top. A typical Billy Wilder comedy that shines a light on our prejudices and hypocrisies. Thank you Billy Wilder and James Cagney for making the world a more enjoyable place to be.
Movie Review: Cagney at his comedic best !!! Summary: 5 Stars
I first saw this back in the mid 70's and never forgot it. If you want some rapid fire non stop jokes, then this is the film for you. If you want to go back in time to that magic time of the early 60's before the nightmare started, then this is again the film to see. All I can say in closing is grab yourself a cold Coke and be prepared for a lot of fun!
Movie Review: Great flick! Summary: 5 Stars
We watched this movie recently while in Berlin visiting friends. Neither of us had ever heard of it, but we just loved it. It is marvelously tongue in cheek. The humor has great subtlety. Overall, it is very well done and highly enjoyable. One of the first things we did upon returning home to the USA was to buy this movie. Great flick!
