Oliver is for me one of the best musicals ever made in cinema. With the wonderfull Fagin'n roll in hands of Ron Moody you can't do anything wrong spend your money in this item.Only for this you must buy this dvd.This Carol Reed Film Won six Oscar and everybody: Jack wild , Mark Lester and specially Shanni Wallis, Harry Secombe and Oliver Reed make excellent interpretations.They are good actors and actrees.
Excellent Original sountrack.

I thought this movie was wonderful, the character descriptions of the movie were ingenious. The acting was great, and I love the way they changed the Broadway musical and changed it into the movie. You could see the fear in Oliver's eyes when he asked Mr. Bumble for more and it was a fabulous job by Ron Moody the way he played Fagin. If you haven't seen the Broadway musical or the movie you really have to see it. The story's great and the acting is even better. You can forget, if you haven't seen this film in some time, just how great the music is. "Consider Yourself", "As Long As He Needs Me" and "Food, Glorious Food" are great songs complemented by outstanding choreography in this great movie. My children (7 & 4) were a troubled by the beating death of Nancy by Bill Sikes, but I anticipated it and fast-forwarded thru that section. The main story is heartening, though, and my entire family has been humming the songs for days!Movie Review: Five star fun times!

This film is truly fun for the whole family. It has upbeat songs, energetic dancing, and witty dialogue. The first time i watched this movie I found it somewhat long and drawn out, but now I enjoy it to the fullest! Faghin is funny and sly, while Oliver is quiet and uplifting. The Arful Dodger, my favourite character, is both humourous and quick-thinking: the perfect criminal. I recommend you purchase this film: its will keep you and your children entertained for years to come!
