Movie Review: A great message....

It is a great story. Carl Reiner was truly inspired when he did this film. Seeing it make one feel good about the world and himself, great message.
Choosing a fragile old man to play God was a great idea! The lines in this film deserves to be thought about.
Denver plays the man that was picked by God to deliver His message to mankind today. The great thing is that his character is a very good example of a simple man carrying God's flag. His main concern is the task at hand, to deliver God's message.
The film message is quite current.

I remember seeing this film on TV some years ago and when I saw it was available from Amazon I simply had to have a copy. It is so heartwarming. It has such a clever script, beautifully delivered by dear old George Burns and a youthful John Denver. Teri Garr is the same perplexed wife as she was in 'Close Encounters', thinking her husband is going round the bend! The corrupt preacher and cynical lawyers are all taught their lesson in a splendid plot. A kind, gentle, Christian film. Wonderful!Movie Review: The real God should have writers this funny...

This is one of my favorite movies. Of course, I am a bit liberal in the religious area. Which is why it did not offend me. So sue me."Oh God" is not perfect, yet it makes me laugh and smile and feel better about life whenever I see it. If that's not success, I don't know what comic success might be. We already knew it was a good movie but the wonderful service we received made it even better. I bought it as a Christmas gift. Because of bad weather, it wasn't sure to be delivered on time but on Christmas Eve it showed up...right on time. George Burns as God was a great casting move. It was great to finally find it on DVD. I remember when I saw it in the movie theater, no one said a word as we all left. John Denver was great in his roll of trying to get the world to listen to him about Gods message.
