Movie Reviews of Off the Map

Movie Review: Delightful, warm, and inspiring.
Summary: 5 Stars

One of the best movies I've seen in recent years - delightful, warm, and inspiring. The scenery is breathtaking, but mostly I loved the story. I think Valentina de Angelis did as much to make this movie wonderful as anyone, but all of the acting was superb. The nudity is done with such great taste that I would rate this as a family movie. There's not a lot of suspense, but you can never guess what's coming next. Absolutely superb!

Movie Review: Great Indy Film
Summary: 5 Stars

If you haven't seen this film, see it. It's a keeper. I will tell you now, however, it's a little slow to start and more than a little quirky. It may not appeal to younger people for these reasons. No car chases.. nor big explosions..or small ones for that matter. There is some bad language. Stick to it, as the movie begins to evolve when the tax man enters the plot. A wonderful film with great acting and actors.

Movie Review: Another thing about the movie:
Summary: 5 Stars

In addition to being well-done and full of interesting people, it had the inherent appeal of non-wasteful people, living a sustainable, more natural life. I've been reading a lot about "Peak Oil" and this movie resonated about how people could be happy living a more natural, frugal life without all the wasteful, frivolous "stuff" we consume voraciously.

Movie Review: living the simple life
Summary: 5 Stars

The story is really good and the actors go well. Great direction. The movie gets you involved from minute one and keeps your interest to the very end. The movie makes you think about what we need or not in our lifes to be happy and at peace. I strongly recommend!

Movie Review: Magic
Summary: 5 Stars

A family lives off the map, off the grid, and independent of our economy. An IRS agent awakens as an artist, a teenager grows, a severely depressed father struggles. New Mexico and this movie are full of magic and beauty. Love this movie.
