Long-time Polish favorite Jan Englert (Kanal; Kiler; Virus) costars in this action-packed drama about the most famous mission of the Polish underground during WWII.
In broad daylight on March 26, 1943, the Gray Ranks, a recognizance combat troupe, boldly attacked a prisoner-transport motorcade traveling through German-occupied Warsaw and rescued 31 prisoners, including several troupe leaders. This heroic act strengthened the resolve of the Poles to remain steadfast and resolute against their Nazi occupiers.
Directed by veteran Jan Lomnicki (Big Brawl; Still Only This Forest), Operation Arsenal is a stirring tribute to an event lost to the history books.
