Movie Reviews of NutsMovie Review: Striesand's best performance Summary: 5 Stars
"Nuts" is a must see for Striesand fans and anyone who enjoys a well written script and an exceptionally strong cast. The story of a high priced escort (Streisand) accused of murder and forced to go on trial to prove her sanity, in order to stand trial, is gripping. Her parents, who've had enough of her antics, want to send her to an asylum. Her state appointed counsel (played to perfection by Richard Dreyfuss) is compelled to find a way to prove her sanity to the courts as well as to his client. Perhaps there are no real surprises but the careful uncovering of layers of deceipt and mistrust is very real and honestly played out in this highly emotional and sentimental movie. I highly reccommend this film to all who enjoy good movie making.

Movie Review: Well acted Summary: 5 Stars
The story takes place in a court room. Claudia Draper (Barbara Streisand) is a professional woman of the night is accused of murdering her client Allen Green (Leslie Nielsen.) She is given the opportunity to claim mental incompetence "Nuts"; however she chooses not to do so. Towards the end of the movie do I hear an Ayn Rand type courtroom speech about competence?
I have never seen the play so I can not comment on how the film varies. The movie however holds your attention. Barbra Streisand is not the only actor in this movie to let their personality overwhelm the character. Richard Dreyfuss, "Moon Over Parador" (1988) lets his personality and mannerisms through pretty well as he plays the defendants lawyer.
Movie Review: Nuts is like Buttah!!! Summary: 5 Stars
On July 1, 2003 I went Nuts when I found out that Bab's was going to release this movie on DVD. I got home put the DVD in the player and sat back to hear Bab's audio commentary to the film. I was overjoyed and very happy to hear her voice while I watched the movie. This is my favorite Barbra Streisand movie and thought that the commentary and the widescreen version of this movie is EXCELLENT! I highly recommend this movie to everyone who hasn't seen it. And this DVD version is a must for any Streisand Fan. Now all we need is Yentl and A Star Is Born to be done the same way. Keep up the great work Barbra! Daniel Sinton a 30 year old fan!
Movie Review: Nuts Summary: 5 Stars
NUTS is a great movie from Barbra Streisand. One of her best acting performances! The movie is about a high class call girl named Claudia (Barbra Streisand) who kills a client in self defense. Her parents want to avoid scandal by having her declared mentally incompetant to stand trial. After attacking her attorney, her case is taken over by a legal aide attorney (Richard Dreyfuss). Claudia doesn't do much to help her case, with her constant outbursts in the courtroom. It was a really well done drama, with an interesting plot and good acting all around.
