Movie Review: Bold move into the art world.
Summary: 5 Stars
I couldn't tear myself away from this film. Its perspective is one you will be hard-pressed to find in other independent efforts. The angle is truly unique. And even though I did find myself searching for concrete facts, I ended up appreciating the creative ambiguity used to spice up every frame. The DVD offers commentary, which I took advantage of because I wanted to understand a little more than I did just watching the movie. I began to see the unfolding plot in a new way after a few statements made during the commentary and began to also appreciate the film that much more. If you're not interested in taking an unusual cinematic journey, this film is not for you. But for those who have an affinity for independent films, and the often untravelled roads they take, will not be disappointed. Plus, the camera work, direction, editing, writing and acting were superb. I was definitely impressed. The movie kept me thinking. I like that. This film is not like most films I've ever seen. But that's great. Variety is the spice of life.
