Movie Review: HILARIOUS!!!

What is wrong with so many of you people who gave this movie bad reviews?? No sense of humor, having a bad life, what??? This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Eddie Murphy is hilarious as Rasputia and Mr. Wong. Marlon Wayans' performance was funny too. I don't think of this movie as making fun of fat people. Rather, it was making fun of a person who was mean spirited and very oblivious to her weight. Besides, I didn't hear any overwhelming fat complaints when Eddie Murphy played the obese and buffoonish Klumps in the Nutty Professor movies. Those movies were far more offensive to fat people than Norbit could ever be. Both Norbit and Mr. Wong were a lot funnier that Rasputia anyway. QUICK PLOT - An adult orphan falls for his childhood sweetheart, but is married to a mean "FAT Lady".
A very funny movie using traditional Eddie Murphy humor in the five characters that he plays. Eddie Murphy as a child orphan gets "pretend married" to his childhood sweetheart, but shortly after his sweetheart leaves the orphanage because she gets adopted.
A new "BIG" girl emerges in the orphanage who protects him from bully's - and they ultimately get married as adults. The combination of the "BIG" girl's invasive personality with her corrupt brothers, keeps Eddie Murphy's character in misery all of the time. Then one day his childhood sweetheart returns in his life, and all hell breaks loose when he can't stop thinking about her.

People who compare this role to the role Eddie played in Dreamgirls are silly, these are 2 totally different movies. Norbit is crude humor at it's best, if you are easily offended or looking for a serious drama, don't purchase or rent this movie and the nutty professor, it is not! Eddie plays multiple roles excellently as we know, the film also stars Cuba Goodin Jr.,Thandie Newton and a hilarious cameo from Marlon Wayans, not much substance as far as a plot is concerned , not a love story -just a raunchy, crude performance by Eddie Murphy but hilarious nonetheless and funny is actually and understatement.Movie Review: Eddie resurrected

Rasputia is a mean, cruel and fat bitch. Mr. Wong is a rude, blunt, racist and cool asian; and Norbit is soft, naive, weak but brave in the end. This movie is good, and is really funny (The Latimores are wickedly comic!). Ha ha ha. No more to say. Good for Eddie Murphy.
I think the people that put one star for this one, are fat people with no sense of humor.

...since I laughed this hard! By far, this is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. From start to finish, never a dull moment. I didn't have very high expectations based on other reviews, but, Eddie Murphy flawlessly pulls this off. It's a light hearted comedy that is fun to watch, easy to laugh at and hard to turn off. Enjoy!
