Movie Reviews of Noises Off...Movie Review: LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is so darn funny! I remember having to watch it in a drama class my first year in high school and everyone loved it! One of the funniest movies I have ever seen and I am shocked and angered it is not released on DVD yet!!! What is up with the people who are in charge of turning VHS movies into DVDs? They completely ignore this film and pay attention to some really dumb movies! This MUST be released on DVD. Also it is probably my favorite John Ritter(Rest in Peace and god bless your soul!)movie! RELEASE IT ON DVD PLEASE!
Movie Review: This movie is absolutely I don't know Summary: 5 Stars
Alongside Clue and Soapdish, this movie is one of the most under-rated ensemble comedies to grace the silver screen in the last twenty years. Laugh through your tears as you see a fully-mobile Christopher Reeves and a still-vital John Ritter; both actors are at the top of their game in this flick, and the rest of the cast is just as good. Buena Vista has even had the intelligence to grace this DVD with the original widescreen aspect ratio. Your excuses are gone-- buy this on the release date! You will love it!
Movie Review: Noises Off is Hysterical! Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best things about this movie is the first time I watched it, I had to stop in the middle just to laugh so I wouldn't miss any more of the jokes. As a person who has been involved with theater for years, I especially appreciate all the jokes and frustrations contained in this film! With such a collection of talent, what else can be expected? Also, if you like Noises Off, I highly recommend seeing Clue (1985) starring Tim Curry, Eileen Brennon, Martin Mull, Madeline Kahn and several other comedy greats.
Movie Review: Rolling-on-the-Floor-Crying Funny!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Do not even hesitate to get this movie! I saw it on TV several years ago and bought the vhs then and now the DVD. It's slapstick of the most amazing kind - look at the cast list and you won't even question the acting skills. The pace, especially towards the middle/end of the movie during one of the showings of the play, is so fast you really need to watch it several times to get all that's going on. I hurt when watching this movie - hurt from laughing so hard! In fact, now I'm in the mood to watch it tonight....
Movie Review: Sardines! Sardines! Summary: 5 Stars
After saving the off-TV recording on a cheap VHS tape for many years, this absolutely funny theater piece with a brilliant Michael Caine as a stage play director and a cast of superb actors including the late great John Ritter and a wonderfully clumsy Christopher Reeve, not to forget delightful Carol Burnett, finally makes it on DVD. No matter what quality the disc will have: the fact alone that it is finally being published at all, is worth buying it. Why does it still take nearly a month until the DVD is out?
