Movie Review: Nine months, a movie to fill a wonderful evening with laughter and joy

I always saw the movie in parts through my whole adolescence until I decided to buy it two months ago.
It is very funny and I would recommend it to everyone who just wants to laugh.
Hugh Grant, this succesful young shrink, who is confronted with a kid who hates his parents, finds out that his beautiful girlfriend, Julianne Moore, is pregnant and sees himself uncapable of changing. He is so absorbed by his fear of being a horrible father and loosing his youth, that he almost looses the most important thing in his world...
Finally he realizes what everyone of us has to do, leave the past and enter new phases of life.
It is a beautiful romance.

Nine Months is a brilliant movie all about pregnancy, parenthood and growing up. Hugh Grant plays Samuel, the guy who has it all, a great girlfriend (Julianne Moore) an amazing apartment and his job is "thriving". All is nearly close to perfection until Samuel finds out that his girlfriend, Rebecca, is pregnant. He takes it very calmly by very nearly killing them! Joan Cusack and Tom Arnold play the breeders, Gail and Marty Dwyer who have three girls and another one on the way. Then there is Samuels bachelor buddy played by Jeff Goldblum who has just been left by his girlfriend Christine. A hilarious comedy which you just HAVE to see.Movie Review: ~Great Romantic Comedy~

I remember watching this movie when it came out at the theater (I was 2 weeks away from having my 1st child). It was so cute & funny that when it was release on DVD I had to buy it. I was hoping that they would have come out with a Special Edition for their 10th anniversary as I've heard from an insider that they cut a lot of funny scenes of Dr. Kosevich (played by Robin Williams) out.
It has a fantastic all star cast:
Hugh Grant, Julianne Moore, Joan Cusack, Robin Williams, Jeff Goldblum & Tom Arnold. This is a total "chick-flick" that is a must see when your pregnant!

Hugh Grant is Samuel, a child psychologist whose patients have turned him off parenthood. When his long-time girlfriend Julianne Moore, has a surprise pregnancy, Sam has to tackle the prospect of having a kid of his own. The perils of sudden responsibility break up the parents-to-be with lots of comedic romantic antics to bring them back before the due date. An early Hugh Grant film in the US and a pre-superstardom Moore have a chemistry all their own.Movie Review: One of my favorites!

Nine months is an adorably funny movie seen through the eyes of a terrified father to be (Hugh Grant). Robin Williams is hilarious as the couple's Russian doctor. Joan Cusack and Tom Arnold are superb as the "breeder" couple that helps them through this changing time. Julianne Moore shines as the expectant mommy. An all around heartwarming and funny movie. The end will have you rolling on the floor holding your stomach with laughter.
