Movie Reviews of Nine MonthsMovie Review: The best romantic comedy ever Summary: 5 Stars
I have watched a good number of romantic comedies, and have noticed that they often have a great plot, and entertain with their hilarious antics throughout. This is the same, except its extreme hilarity is balanced perfectly with plot to create a thoroughly entertaining comedy experience.I'm sure somebody has gone through the whole description of this movie in great detail, so I won't do it again. If you have seen other Hugh Grant movies, you know how his comedy works: his sassy come backs and comments come at full force through out the movie, and blend excelently with Robin Williams' accent, (he plays a newly immigrated Russian), mistakes in word choice, and physical humor. Add that to Tom Arnold's role as a man who is a complete jerk on the surface, but really full of heart, and Jeff Goldblum, who flings his funny comments in without skipping a beat, and you have a comedic team which will keep you in stitches from start to finish. I think this is one of those movies great to watch curled up on the couch on a Sunday afternoon, or just as an evening treat, but whenever you watch it, it is a movie not to be missed.
Movie Review: Hilarious, "It's the bloodly three percent" Summary: 5 Stars
I've watched this movie many times since I've been ill, and I know it kept me from going nuts. I laughed out loud from one minute into the movie when Tom starts giving mouth to mouth to Samuel until the very end. My son had to come and check on me to see if I was OK since I was ill. There was never a dull moment. It's exactly how a lot of single guys would act when told there about to become a dad. Especially when their life is just perfect! I adore Hugh Grant, and I thougt the entire cast was terrific and superbly cast. The SUV scenes were truly great and well directed, as were all the others. Hugh brought tears to my eyes at the end of the movie when he picked up the baby and danced to "These Are The Days". Hugh you would make a great dad, and you certainly knew how to hold this baby, maybe YOU need to see the movie again. In my opinion it's right up there with "FWAAF" and "About a Boy" great movies.
Movie Review: Could have lived without Robin Williams Summary: 5 Stars
This is an adorable movie. Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore have that chemistry. A warm comedy about a couple who find themselves pregnant and Hugh (the father) isn't to happy about the situation until he has it
all taken away from him due to his selfishness. I watch this movie
everytime I comes on tv.I never thought I would be a fan of Tom
Arnold but everything I have seen him in I just love him. Tom plays a friend of the couple. And Tom and his wife (Joan Cusack) are sought out
for guidence during the whole ordeal between the pregnant couple.
The only part I don't care for is the OB doctor played by Robin Williams.
His silly doctor character is just a little too silly for me and the movie.
Movie Review: I couldn't stop laughing Summary: 5 Stars
Wow! I have read everyone's review and I'm surprised with some of the low ratings. My husband told me about this movie and I couldn't wait till see it. When it arrived, I couldn't wait to get home and watch it. Let me tell you, it was definitely worth watching. I will agree that the fight in the delivery room should've been something that the director could've deleted from the movie, but other then that I couldn't stop laughing. There was a scene where Hugh Grant was watching the ultrasound that his girlfriend had got done, I had to cry when I saw the baby's heart beating. I've watched this movie 3 times already and I just got it 2 days ago. Definitely worth watching especially when Joan Cusack is having the baby.
Movie Review: Nine Months Summary: 5 Stars
Samuel and Rebecca have it all. During their near-perfect, five-year relationship, they've seen their careers thrive; experienced countless nights of passion in their wonderful San Francisco home; and had the freedom to take off on romantic weekends at whim. And then one day they receive a little surprise... one that will catapult their life of Perfect Order into one of Utter Chaos: Rebecca is pregnant, and Samuel's life will never be the same. His frenetic new existence begins with an unlikely friendship with a couple of well-meaning, but overbearing parents, Marty and Gail. This is one of the funniest movies. This movie will make you laugh and cry. I highly reccomend this movie.
