Movie Review: The last Nightwish concert with Tarja
Summary: 5 Stars
This was a great concert for those who like symphonic rock. I didn't know I was one until I discovered this. However this should not be a guide as to the purchase of subsequent Nightwish products. Tarja is what made the group unique and without her they are just another group. Anette, their new singer, is OK but not unique in the way Tarja was. I understand Tarja was probably "bitchy" after her marriage to that Argentine loser and probably not as "controllable" as she had been before but Nightwish lost a lot when they dumped her (and they didn't do it in the nicest, most business-like way). Outside of the leader and main song writer there is not much to distinguish the group. To be a commercial success he should have dumped the rest and put up with Tarja. Too bad, but this is their best and it's old by this time.Movie Review: A nightwish come true

It was definitely an "End of a Era" with the loss of Tarja Turunen but it is not the end of Nightwish! It is easy for me to say the Tuomas Holopainen is one of the best if not the best new composers of our time. The music envelopes all of your senses and at time touches your soul, and when you add Emppu(guitar), Jukka(drums) and Marco(base)who are all masters of thier craft they help breath life into Holopainen's visions.
It is very sad that this is the Final performance for Tarja but it is defiantly one to revisit again and again. Thank you Tarja for this fantastic show and we will miss you! "STUNNING" "Exquisite" and well worth your investment. May all our "Nightwishes" come true.
Movie Review: Great, but not widescreen

End Of An Era is a great show. I also own From Wishes To Eternity which is also great..Unfortunately, both are fullscreen dvds! This version of End Of An Era is quite new yet it is fake widescreen. It appears widescreen if you watch it on a normal tv but on a widescreen it is 4:3 aspect. Very disappointing in that manner, and I do feel the video quality is a bit lacking but other than those two things it is a good dvd/performance. If only they put some music videos on it! Now it is time to wait for the Dark Passion Play dvd, assuming Nightwish makes one.
For a truly epic performance, check out the Within Temptation & Metropole Orchestra dvd: Black Symphony. It truly is the best I've seen.
Movie Review: Beautiful!

Unfortunately, the was Nightwish's last performances with Tarja Turunen - but when you watch this you might see that this was probably one of the best performances with her if not THE best. Despite not having too many early career songs performed they picked a lot of the best stuff from thier more well known era - this concert was a very high note and Tarja will be missed ever so dearly. Video and sound quality wise - it's extremely good! Tarja's live voice is so damn powerful. Get this - 3 disc set - the show on DVD and 2 CDs with the audio - very little difference unlike many CDs which get edited down from the DVD - that's a plus. This is a must have for the Nightwish fans who love Tarja.Movie Review: Very good concert

I'm not conmpletly a nightwish fan, bur i must say that I follow them. Naturally, as you can see and read in many web sites, this DVD contains the last ever show of Nightwish with Tarja Turunen.
This concert had all the ingredients of an espectacular show.
Sencillamente el mejor show de Nightwish. Como todos sabem, el ultimo show con tarja. Excelente producción, sonido impecable, manejo de camaras excelente, si eres un fab de nightwish no puedes dejar pasar la oportunidad de tener este End of An Era en edicion digi con el dvd y los 2 cds.
