Movie Review: BRAVO !!!

Oh gosh, I don't even know where to start. I rushed to my PC to write this review the very moment this amazing concert ended. It didn't actually end since I started it from the beginning, and now it is being playing in the background while I am writing this review. For some reason, the copy I grabbed yesterday in a local music store doesn't contain CDs, it is just a single DVD version, but I'll find the 2CD/DVD version soon to listen to it in my car.
People could say a million good words about this DVD, but it still doesn't cover an amazing concert which looks and sounds great. My only concern is that DTS 5.1 Surround mix would be a huge plus and a nice addition to 5.1 Dolby Surround and PCM mixes. OK, it looks like bad (fast) editing has ruined many good concert DVDs (Evanescence's Paris show, for instance). In this one, it obviously applies only to the end of the performance, whereas the majority of the show had been editted very nice, and camera moves in more than 2 seconds intervals which doesn't give you a headache.
About track listing. Standouts in my opinion are Wishmaster, Nemo, Sleeping Sun and my absolute favorite Ever Dream. The latter two songs are actually giving me a goose bumps every time I listen to them. The cover of Pink Floyd's High Hopes is actually very good. The cover of Webber's Phantom of the Opera is outstanding. Tarja's voice is incredible and in garmony with a heavy metal they are playing. Basically, her voice is a part of their music. Emppu's guitar solos are just blowing me away. Sometimes I even think that this guy is a better guitar player than Yngwie Malmsteen. The one thing is for sure - the Scandinavian school of the solo guitar is somewhat a fenomenon.
The funny thing is before yesterday I didn't even know this band exists. OK, now I will catch up. I obviously missed a couple of their DVD concerts (based on the amazon's listing). Recommendations? Go and grab yourself a copy of End Of An Era DVD, especially now when US released this concert in region 1, NTSC, so it is playable on any american DVD player. I do highly recommend this concert for those who likes Evanescence, and for every music buff. You will be hooked to it for the rest of your life.
