Movie Review: Great for Women, too!

Hey, Im a girl - and I LOVE this dvd for me! I sometimes want to dance more masculine without the bump and grind. When I do this dvd I definately feel more missy elliot (allbeit when Missy was in Kindergarten lol) than say the Pussycat Dolls. It's more chill because it's for guys, than overtly sexual like the dvds for girls. This is an awesome video for girls who want to look MORE chill and not so much dancing pornstar. Not all girls might agree with me, but I think this dvd rocks for the ladies as well.
Now for the dvd itself - these moves are extremely easy to execute. Surprise! Thats how its supposed to be. You can totally fool a room if you can teach your body how to find the vibe in a song. You dont have to be an excellent dancer - this dvd is not about turning heads - its about how to blend and be comfortable when you arent an amazing dancer.
This dvd will teach any guy how to very casually move out into a dancefloor and hang there thru any song that comes along.
Dance is about attitude - but the confidence in that attitude comes from getting used to just moving your body in little ways. And actually developing strength in your muscles as you move in dancelike ways. A week tops of doing this every day and you should be confident to dance publically.
Ive got a ton of dance dvds. I wont name them but they are all the big ones on here that claim they can teach anyone to dance. They dont. They are so hard. So purely and distractingly technical.
I really love this video. Dance videos almost inevitably are so hard to learn you really feel ripped off. Not the case here ---
This video is for you if your scared to dance in public and cant count or keep the beat. Boy or girl. This one is really for you. And if you can keep the beat? This is a nice easy workout video too believe it or not. Its slow and steady. I love slow and steady or nice and easy, like the instructor says. If you dance this whole thing you definately worked out - just not on your poor head.
People who say this dvd is a waste are already ok dancers. If your an ok dancer you might find this slow. But i love it and I can dance freestyle with no problem. I just really like this dvd! Even my kids like it. Infact, now that I think of it this dvd is a very good non-sexual dvd for teens of both sexes that want to dance. Tho your interpretation of 'nonsexual' might vary with mine. The main point is, the dvd is about dancing not bumping and grinding the night away. It really is about dancing.

if you know absolutely nothing about dancing then you could derive some benefit from this. my recommendation is go for classes or simply watch some youtube clips by typing in some search like "hip hop tutorial" and you should be well on your way in a month or so ...Movie Review: waiting for vol2

i bought hip hop moves on www.learnclubdance.com and was searching around the net for volume 2 when i came across this page on amazon. not really sure why some folks here didn't like it, i actually liked it so much i went looking for vol2. their website says it should be out but i can't find it anywhere. basically, it's got all the moves someone would want to learn if they're trying to fit in on the dance floor. there were some moves i wouldnt use and loads of others i use everyday - probably just depends on your personal style. but with dozens of different variations in the video, i would say everyone who buys it will find something they like. hope this helps!Movie Review: Nice Moves

Overall I'd give it an 8 out of 10 cause it mostly delivered. I had my doubts I'd actually be able to learn any cool moves, but these guys know how to teach. Most of the moves I like, although a few I couldn't see myself doing. The grinding and dancing with girls section was useful to me .. cause I had zero clue what I was doing ... i wasn't sure if i should buy the DVD after the somewhat mixed reviews but after another night out where i realized i was a terrible dancer, i decided to bite the bullet. for twenty bucks, i figured i couldn't go wrong. i'm glad i did it because it was a huge help. i'm not sure what some of the others were expecting when they bought this, you won't find any real hip hop, or popping and locking here. it's mostly basic stuff, designed for clubs specifically, so the movements are all pretty subtle and confined to a smaller space. it's good stuff and i gotta say that it'll help the average guy looking to get more comfortable dancing, which helps in getting laid. true story.
