Movie Review: Gives ya that weird feeling...
Summary: 5 Stars
I love this movie. It gives me a weird feeling I can't explain everytime I watch it. It seems like I'm watchin a movie that is somewhat mysterious, old, and evil while reading one of those "mutant" comicbooks and looking at a cover of a horror novel at the same time. Hmm... maybe I'm just losing my mind. hehe... Of all movies that Clive Barker has created I like "Nightbreed" and "Lord of Illusion" best. I hope he creates more movies like these! I even wish he creates a movie based on his PC CD-ROM game "Undying"! That's one helluva game you just havta play if you are a Clive Barker fan. We'll that's all, I'm goin over my head here. Just watch Nightbreed to understand what I'm saying. :-)

PICTURE QUALITY (4/5 STARS)The picture quality varies between 'very good' and 'average'. Generally sharp, no artifacts and anamorphic widescreen format.
SOUND QUALITY (4/5 STARS)
The Dolby Digital 5.1 remix is very good and the best choice for the audience. The stereo track sounds weird because of the pervasive reverb; quiet unnatural.
EXTRAS (2/5 STARS)
Just the most necessary things: trailer & biographies.

Maybe not as good as HELLRAISER but truly one of his best. Great fantasy film - this time the monsters are the good guys!
Movie Review: One of the Most Frightening Films I Have Ever Seen

This film plays like, no that's not correct, is a surrealistic nightmare. This is a disturbing movie. The images stay with you for days after you first see it. It's like Barker took a horrific nightmare and put it on film exactly like he dreamed it. The viewer can not wake up and escape this nightmare. By that time it is too late. This incredible film is in a class all by itself.Movie Review: I think it's good, you might like it.

Not a strong recomendation, true. I know a lot of people who don't like this film, or any films of Clive Barker's work. However, I love it. It's like a fairy tale from Clive Barker's deranged mind.
Good Danny Elfman sound track, pretty locations, and nice acting for a low-budget horror movie. If you like Hellraiser, or like Clive Barker's books, you'll like this.
Movie Review: One of Clive barker's best

I really enjoyed this film, but I'm biased because I'm a huge fan of director David Cronenberg who plays the evil Dr. Decker.
I've been waiting for the rumored director's cut but none so far. it's not as dark as Lords Of Illusion, but every bit as good. The only disappointment? Decker was brought back to life at the end, how about a follow up on that?
