Movie Review: It's about time this creep hit dvd!

Huge fan of 'Night of the Creeps'! I can remember renting this a million times back then and finally being able to pay a cheap price for a vhs copy of this when dvds were starting to take over video stores haha. I must abmit, its original cover art drove me to watching this flick in the first place; I'm glad I did! This is the type of horror that I would compare to 'Killer Klowns From Outer Space', 'Ghoulies 2' and 'SLITHER'; this isn't a horror movie that's made to be taken seriously. It's the kind that's loaded with dark humor! So grab a big bucket of popcorn, find your sweetheart, and enjoy the show!!! One more thing!...why couldn't they use the original cover art!?....oh well...I still give it five stars!Movie Review: BRAINSLUGS!...

Brainslugs from outer space! Entering skulls and re-animating an army of slug-driven zombies! NIGHT OF THE CREEPS perfectly merges the LIVING DEAD and ALIEN INVASION sub-genres into one horribly hilarious package! Along w/ the slippery slugs and shambling corpses, we also get Tom Atkins (THE FOG, HALLOWEEN 3, MANIAC COP) as a crusty cop w/ a secret. Then, of course, there's the absolutely beautiful Jill Whitlow as an absolutely beautiful co-ed w/ a flamethrower! If that's not enough, how about both a zombie cat AND dog! Plus, a zombie-destroyed-by-lawnmower scene that pre-dates DEAD ALIVE! NOTC belongs in every horror collection...Movie Review: the creeps are 5 Stars
The creeps will be invading north america on dvd on october 20th.This release date comes directly from sony and from fangoria.com.There will also be over 60minutes of featurettes,2 commentaries,1 with fred dekker and the other with cast including atkins,lively,marshall,and whitlow,deleted scenes and the alternate theatrical zombie dog ending,and trailers and tv spots.No news as of yet if it will coincide with a bluray release but the odds of a bluray release are pretty likely.All i can say is thank you sony and most of all thank you fred dekker and cast for finally getting this gem of a movie released on dvd.Movie Review: About Damn Time Sony, Thrill Me!!!

I must say, Night of the Creeps is one of those films that has stayed with me since childhood. From the snappy in-jokes, to the awesome one-liners, this film has been longing for a dvd release. Tom Atkins performance alone is enough to buy this film.
This fall I am in retro-horror heaven( or hell?) with the release of "Night of the Creeps" as well as the original "The Stepfather", "The Gate", "Hardware", "Happy Birthday to Me", "House on Sorority Row", "Phantasm 2", all receiving the special edition dvd treatment! Now if only Sony would release a Special Edition "Fright Night"!

If you haven't seen NOTC, and you are a fan of horror, good and/or bad, this is a terrific film, an homage to many genres and other horror films from beginning to end.
If you're already of fan of NOTC, the DVD is amazing. There are two commentary tracks, multiple interviews and shorts about the making of the film, and a great homage to Tom Atkins. It's worth the price.
Great film, great DVD. Buy it!
