Movie Review: Connery's Fond Farewell to 007
Summary: 4 Stars
Sean Connery justifies the existence of "Never Say Never Again" (1983) with his admirably detailed performance as the older and wiser James Bond. A loose remake of "Thunderball," Connery's farewell appearance is superior to the ludicrous Roger Moore efforts. Thanks to Irvin Kershner's on-target direction, the film has a stylishness long absent from the official 007 series. Another strength lies in the classic villainy of Klaus Maria Brandauer and Barbara Carrera. "Never Say Never Again" certainly has its flaws - a forgettable score, disappointing climax and Rowan Atkinson's dreadful comic relief. Despite the occasional lapses, it's a refreshing change of pace from the usual 007 formula.Movie Review: No extras, but Sean makes up for it...

This DVD release is unusual in that it has no "extras" other than a Theatrical Trailer, but that's OK, because Sean Connery is back as Bond. Though not an "Official" Bond movie, and doesn't have the familar James Bond "Music", this movie is just fun entertainment. Connery looks better than Roger Moore did at this stage, and can still deliver the lines...Fatima Blush: "How clumsy of me, I've made you all wet."
Bond: "Yes, but my Martini is still dry..."
The print is good, and the sound quality is good for it's age. Hard to believe this movie is almost 20 years old.
Movie Review: A great adaption of Thunderball

I really loved this movie and I liked the way they made a modern adaption of Thunderball. Even though this movie isn't as good as Dr.No or On Her Majesty's Secret Service this is a action packed thriller the will leave you on the edge of your seat the whole time.I liked this movie because Sean Connery returned and the great stunts. I also liked this movie because it had good acting in it. The only thing bad about it is that this film is that it's Connery's seventh and final Bond film. A lot of people don't like to count this as a Bond Film but it is nevertheless. This is a great film.Movie Review: I am sorry, its against Service policy to give endorsements

Rank 18 of 23. Apparently, Connery was talked out of retirement again, though this was his last one. It is a semi-remake of thunderball, my favorite Fleming novel, but adds a cool unique villain in Fatima Blush. The whole cast is excellent and deep, trying to make up for the lack of the familiar supporting cast of a bond movie. I give it 3.5 stars as a movie, but I rank it 18th of 23 bond movies.
This is also one of the few bond movies that has a scene I have to FF by when the children are watching due to a simulated sex scene on a boat.
Movie Review: Never Say Never Again DVD - Used

Let me begin by saying that this DVD has no scratches at all on it and only costs $1.83 minus shipping and handling. That is amazing. It plays well and does not show any signs of starter or flicker during playback. The case has no stickers or signs of wear and tear on it. It is worth every bit the penny it costs. The only reason that I did not give this product 5 stars, is because it wasn't completely new. That would have been impressive! I plan to buy more soon. A must have for anyone!
