Movie Review: fun movie for all

I'm not the harsh critic that others are here. I saw this movie at the theater with my adult sister, adult daughter, and young neice & nephew. All of us enjoyed the it. Beforehand, I wasn't sure about Emma Roberts as an actor, but she did a good job.
There's just is not enough family-type movies (non-animated), to go see these days. That's why I gave this one a 5-star rating. It was fun to see a haunted house and the variety of locations used. A lot of adventure and ingenuity with Nancy. Interesting characters and good dialogue. I like to see articulate, clever dialogue (does not stoop to swearing & vulgarity to get our attention), as in classic, older movies.
I plan to buy this Nancy Drew 2007 movie on DVD. And will probabaly see the sequel, too.

Nancy Drew the movie was well done. Most adults will say it's boring but let's face it this movie wasn't made to entertain people who don't like children's/teenagers movies, they made this movie for kids!! So may be in their eyes it is just a boring little movie but I feel that this excellent movie was good,romantic and everything else you can list for this movie was superior. So if you haven't seen it yet what are you waiting for!!! This movie is right for you!!! Through ou the movie their is nothing really bad and villant. But the movie could possiable scare younger children for as I mention before this movie is a murder case and has a bad guy or two. so don't be afraid of the movie see it!!!!!!!Movie Review: Perfect for the 'tween-not so bad for parents either!

Growing up, my best friend Beth and I would have reading contests to see who could read the most Nancy Drew books over the summer! We would go to the library every week-sometimes more than once. Reading Nancy Drew was fun back then-and has remained contemporary. This movie is great-Emma Roberts is SO sweet and cute playing the part of Nancy. The storyline was fast paced and well written. My daughter and I have been anxiously waiting for the DVD release. Some of the 'tween movies are just too awful to sit through-but this movie is the exception to the rule. I thought that being over 50 and loving the original Nancy Drew books this movie would be a disappointment....but that was not the case. Emma Roberts is just adorable as Nancy Drew and true to her character. That they kept her in vintage fashion clothes and with her blue roadster was genius. Teens can finally watch a movie without sex drugs and still have it rock....adults like myself a Carolyn Keene fan can also enjoy a flash back to when teens sought to become heroes.....tried to obey their parents....and enjoyed some good clean adventure!Movie Review: Movie is better than the pre-views. Plue there is DVD Bonus material.

I saw this in the theaters with low expectations, based of the inferior TV promos. Boy was I surprised, I actually liked it!
