Movie Review: MUST WATCH FOR ALL NHL FANS
Summary: 4 Stars
This is a must watch for all NHL fans. We've never seen a Stanley Cup final as exciting as the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals. This was the most exciting finals we've ever seen in a long time, when the New York Rangers won their first Stanley Cup in 54 years.
No one has ever forgotten the call by Howie Rose that put the Rangers into the finals: "MATTEAU!! MATTEAU!! MATTEAU!" Stephane Matteau scoring the goal in double OT against the New Jersey Devils.
These are the two calls we heard that you'll never forget:
"MATTEAU!! MATTEAU!! MATTEAU!!" - Rangers radio announcer Howie Rose announcing Stephane Matteau's goal in the second OT of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
"The New York Rangers have DONE IT HERE ON A HOT JUNE NIGHT IN NEW YORK! THE RANGERS ARE STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!" - CBC "Hockey Night in Canada" announcer Bob Cole announcing the Rangers winning the Stanley Cup.
I may be young to recall the Rangers winning the Cup, but the excitement of the finals really made the Rangers' win more exciting.
