Movie Review: Ride of their lives
Summary: 5 Stars
Seeing the beginnings of NASCAR again took me back to the days when the cars were real with bumpers and looked like the cars you could go to the dealer and buy. Not the IROC inspired racers you see today. And the drivers were rugged working men who had STP and the like for sponsors that were real drivers and real men that worked on their own cars, sometimes even driving them to the track themselves. Not the commercialized pretty boys you see today that are themselves painted up to look good on TV and in a Lowes or Dupont commercial. When it was run fairly with an iron fisted Bill France, Not by the monetatilly minded, commercialized idiots responsible for the sickning shambles that NASCAR is in today. It used to be about the race and the drivers, now it's about the money and equality. It used to be that if you were not winning you found a way as a team to catch up not relying on NASCAR to even out the field. We'll never see it like this again, so enjoy this program as a tribute to the way it was and the way it should be.
