Movie Review: Better than expected, pretty funny flick.
Summary: 4 Stars
This movie starts out innocent enough with a man named matt, who is 6 months out from a tough break up, looking to get back into the game. He meets a woman, jenny, on a train, rescues her purse from a thief, and suddenly they are dating. But little does he know that she is G-Girl, a super hero who is also very jelous and controling. one personality flaw to another, and bam, he's in the middle of the worst break up in his life. There are plenty of laughs in this far fetched movie. Owen Wilson and Uma Thurman both do a great job, along with the supporting cast of Wanda Sykes, Raiin Wilson, Eddie Izzard, and Anna Faris. Directed by Ivan Reikman of Ghostbusters fame, definately check out. you will be surprised.Movie Review: Hilarious premise made amusing by Reitman

With cast, premise and production all in place hilarious results should ensue but mild amusement is all they could muster. No quotable lines, only stuff like, "She broke my bed". The cleverness generally absent from Reitman comedies is nowhere to be found here, either. Also, it seems inappropriately suggestive for a movie that younger kids will see. It'd be one thing if the scenes were really funny but there were only inappropriate. It gets four stars from me because it happens to be one of the few movie my wife will sit down and watch with me and there were three or four funny bits but all in all it missed the chance to cash in on what should have been a really funny premise. She is soon met by Wilson's character, a regular guy who is looking for the perfect woman. They soon fall in love and became a couple, but that soon falls apart when G-Girl becomes jealous of her beau seeing another woman. Wanda Sykes, Rainn Wilson and Eddie Izzard also stars in this unique and quirky love story. Certainly not the worst Bizarro Superman type story that I've heard of.
The problem is that with great powers doesn't always come a great personality. OJ Simpson and Alexander the Great are two good male examples.
Peter Milk-toast is in trouble with super-woman, because he finally realized
he loved his office best friend. ( he's very lucky in that she returns the favor). The ending is altogether strange with animated comedy credits following.
It is nice that Uma Thurman doesn't slice and dice anybody in this one!
But when somebody made a crack about her big feet, he regretted it!
Movie Review: Absolutely Absurd! (In a very good way!)

Reitman was successful in creating an absolutely farce. An absolute parody of the superhero genre, melding with the romantic comedy. Hilarious at times, even slightly erotic (mostly due to the presence of the exotic Uma Thurman) this playful jaunt takes the jilted lover story to new heights... literally.
A crazed ego-charged superhero, Luke Wilson and the ever-hilarious Anna Faris lead a cast of characters that never cease to entertain.
In the spirit of National Lampoons, this movie is pure Reitman comedic genius.
