Movie Review: Valentine Bluffs will reap death.....
Summary: 5 Stars
My Bloody valentine is one of the better body count films of the early 80's. While the plot is nothing we havent seen before, there are some truly interesting things that set this film aside from the rest of the slasher genre, the two main things being the mine setting which the last half-hour takes place in, and also the actual killer himself. Fans of the slasher horror sub-genre should not be disappointed with this film at all.There are however a couple of things that disappoint me with this dvd. The first one being the fact that this film is obviously edited and censored in a couple of senes. When I heard about the release of this DVD, I had hoped that the uncut version would at last be released, but alas, this is not the case. Also, the DVD itself is very bare bones. No trailer, No commentary, No production notes, no nothing.
But even having said that, this film still gets 5 stars in my book, its an entertaining slasher horror film that has enough original plot twists to set it apart from the many imitators in the horror genre. Horror fans who enjoy a good late-night body count flick should enjoy this over and over again.

my bloody valentine is a classic that deserves alot of respect.it had a good plot.the ending was surprising.it didn't have alot of gore but it's still a good movie.i was disappointed that this movie didn't do too well in the box office.i love slasher movies with a strange twist in the end.what made this movie cool is that when you're outside smoking and you hear strange noises,you wonder if there is a maniac on the loose. this movies plays with your mind.i like the part when the friends go down to the mine and the maniac comes later on.i like the part when the dead guy is hanged and his head comes off.i also like the part when the bartender tells the story of harry warden being in the mine after an explosion for 6 weeks and he's eating his friend's arm.i think he deserved revenge.but in the end it wasn't harry warden that was doing the killings.it was?i wouldn't want to ruin the ending for those that have never seen this movie.if anyone that wants to see a slasher movie and they don't know what to get,i would recommend my bloody valentine.you won't be disappointed.Movie Review: FINGERS CROSSED..

Fingers Crossed that this will be the fully uncut version that Paramount are releasing but at the same time it will be nice to see a good widescreen DVD version all the same. I've only ever seen the British cut CIC video version in the past and that did the biz for me. When i was at school in the mid 80s we showed a good but cut print of this at a school horror alnighter along with Phantasm and the Thing, so this film holds many fond memories.It would also be great to see films like The Prowler(rosemarys killer), The Hills Have Eyes and Class of 1984 getting DVD releases all in uncut widescreen versions{ }
Movie Review: Awesome Horror Film

Another gem of a horror film from the 80's. I read somewhere that this film is Quentin Tarantino's favorite horror movie. I can see why, it really is a great horror movie. The 80's produced a special breed of horror film. Maybe it's because I grew up in the late 70's and through the 80's, but this time frame has by far the best the genre has to offer. It's hard to explain why these movies are so good. It's kind of like acquiring a certain taste for whatever your favorite vice is. Some of us just don't get it while others are hopeless junkies. I absolutely cherish this gem! when i was a little kid i must have rented this flick from my local mamas & papas video store a million times. this is truely one of my very favorite horror flicks! its got everything that a good slasher flick needs to make it a CLASSIC! its got a SPOOOOKY SCORE/ SOMEWHAT DECENT ACTING/GREAT ERRIE ATMOSHERE/GOOD DIRECTION & STORYLINE/GOOD CLASSIC SLASHER MURDER SCENES/SPOOKY ENDING/& MOST OF ALL ONE OF THE CREEPIEST LOOKING KILLERS EVER!!!! this movie is a CLASSIC!!
