Movie Reviews of My Blood Runs ColdMovie Review: MY BLOOD RUNS COLD Summary: 5 Stars
The gorgeous Troy Donahue starrs, with Joey Heatherton and Barry Sullivan in this entertaining black and white movie. My blood runs cold is the story of Julie( Joey Heatherton) a wealthy young spoiled Heiress, who accidently runs off Ben ( Troy Doanhue) with her car on the californian coastline. He tries to convince julie he and her were lovers in a past life - their own ancestors . Young and naive Julie soon falls for good looking Ben, unaware of the dark secret Ben hides from her. I really enjoyed watching this movie, both Troy Donahue and Joey Heatherton exhibit good chemistry as torn lovers sharing a unique bond and fascination with each other. The movie does hold your attention ( well it did hold my attention while troy was in the scene) the story line is interesting and different. Although l think the movie would have been better if they had filmed it in colour. Filmed in 1965 it was the last Warner Bros movie for Troy Donahue after they cancelled his contract. A nice little vintage classic pure escapism.
Summary of My Blood Runs ColdJulie (Joey Heatherton) is a spoiled young heiress on the California coast, so weary of her wealth she wrecks cars for fun and so bored of her fiancée's "fumbling in the dark" that she longs for freedom. Liberation comes in the form of Ben (Troy Donhaue), a sandy-haired stranger who swears that he and Julie were lovers in a former life - their own ancestors, in fact. Surprisingly, Julie's aunt (Jeanette Nolan) confirms every one of Ben's eerie recollections. Although a caretaker turns up murdered and suspicion turns to Ben, there's romance in the salty air. But as the couple elopes off to sea, a storm breaks out. Atmospherically directed by veteran character actor and thriller specialist William Conrad (Two on a Guillotine), this chilling Gothic mystery is sure to heat up your plasma. This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media.
