Movie Reviews of My Baby Can Talk - First SignsMovie Review: Very nicely done! Summary: 5 StarsMy daughter has delayed speech and the therapist recommended sign language. My daughter loves baby Einsteins since she was real you and she likes this just as much. It has nice music and she repeats the things that she sees and hears. Very good product!
Movie Review: 3.5 stars because I expected more Summary: 3 StarsI was trying to figure out which baby sign language DVD is the most effective, so I purchased the top three dvd's listed which are: My Baby Can Talk (first signs), Happy Signs (Day by Language Tree), and Baby Signing Time (volume1). Let me first start by saying that I liked certain things that each DVD offered but overall was unsatisfied with all three.
My Baby Can Talk (first signs) didn't offer enough signs that babies would more often use. The only useful signs listed in the DVD are: Drink, Eat, Milk and More. The rest are not significant in babies everyday needs. The Parent Tutorial was very informative. There weren't any categories or chapter selections, all the words were just piled up on a screen and you can click to play all or just one word. I expected more from this one due to the reviews and awards won.
Happy Signs (Day by Language Tree) did offer more signs that babies would need daily like: Drink, Eat, Milk, More, All Done, Bib, Toothbrush, Coat, Hat. The graphics were done so poor and a major distraction.
Baby Signing Time (volume1) offered the most signs and only lacks Bib, Toothbrush, Coat, Hat. This DVD was cute because it show cased many toddlers signing the words but it could be confusing to your child watching because some toddlers would not demonstrate a correct sign.
Overall, I would recommend Baby Signing Time (volume1) instead of the other two.
Movie Review: Great DVD for children to help with communication development! Summary: 5 StarsMy second daughter seemed "quiet" compared to my first, so we bought this DVD hoping she'd learn some signs and find something fun to watch on TV and this did both. She likes to watch it. The music and signing makes it fun for both of us to watch and do together. And, her speaking started along great once we started this! She was 18 months old when we started with it and is a few months past age 2 now, but I'd say this would be great for 12 mos to 3 years. It's a super DVD. I'd like to buy the others!
Movie Review: My Baby Can Talk Summary: 5 StarsThis is a wonderful DVD that entertains while it teaches. My children have been watching this since they were only months old. It took a lot to catch my daughters attention, when she was very young, but when we popped this DVD in; she would stop everything and be mesmerized by it! They even enjoy it now although they are a little older. It still keeps their attention! I am looking forward to your next DVD! Carol K.
Movie Review: Very well done Summary: 5 StarsWe got this DVD 2 weeks ago for our 9 month old. She loooves this DVD. It is very well done and holds her attention almost the whole time. They incorporate the sign very well to where it isn't confusing and it has with multiple images to hold a babies attention. It has a lot of animal signs, which babies love. Not a fan of the sign for "go and more" but that's just me, not easy to translate and interpret on a video.
I bought the Baby Einstein my first signs dvd 2 days ago, not well done at all. Inconsistent and confusing for a little one.
Highly recommend My Baby can Talk, great into to signing. Mine was signing Dog the second time she watched it!
