Movie Review: My Favorite Movie of All Time

This movie without a doubt is my absolute favorite movie. Not only are there stellar performances by Field, Garner, and Haim, but the cinematography was wonderful. In my daydreams, I picture myself there. Living on a horse ranch. Living a rugged life with a touch of romance. But that's just a daydream of course. My reality wouldn't permit such a thing. Murphey's Romance, starring two a my favorite performers, James Garner and Sally Field is sweetly romantic and extremely funny, in other words wonderfully relaxing and totally enjoyable. Neither Garner or Field give a heart wrenching performance, but does every movie have to have that element? I believe we need more well acted movies like this one that are relaxing and enjoyable. This movie certainly ranks high on my desert island classics. Since there has been a nice selection of impressions left by others...I won't do that route. But it seems like forever that I have been searching for the closing song done by Carol King. I cannot recall if there was a soundtrack available for this movie. But it never fails...the ending scene coupled with that song...zings me right in my old sentimental heart.Movie Review: All-time favorite.

Movie Review: A great "feel-good" movie

I first watched this movie in VHS at least 15 yrs ago...it is one of my favorite movies of all time. Sally Field and James Garner give outstanding performances. This is the kind of movie that restores my faith in people, life,and family values. I have quite a collection of "chick-flicks" I guess you would call them. Give me one of these, some hot tea, a comfy chair, and I'm set for a few hours.
