Movie Reviews of Mulan II

Movie Review: Wonderful! We loved it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I almost didn't buy this sequel due to poor reviews. Several people said their kids really liked it, and that's who it was made for, so I bought it for my 5 year old granddaughter who loved Mulan. She and I both found it to be very entertaining. I thought the animation, voice work, music, and plot were just fine. I wouldn't have known it wasn't Eddie Murphy doing Mushu's voice if I hadn't read it in the reviews. We have watched this movie six times in the past 3 days and are not tired of it yet. My granddaughter loves it and I would highly recommend it to anyone with kids, especially if they liked the first Mulan. I think many of the other reviewers were much too critical- this movie was certainly not "awful". We thought it was wonderful. Glad I bought it.

Movie Review: It's More Of Mushu!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Mulan II is a 2004 Disney direct-to-DVD sequel to the 1998 Disney classic of the same name. As Mulan(Ming-Wa)is settling down for a peaceful life, her world just got interesting when her former commander Shang(B.D. Wong)asked for her hand in marriage and Mulan and Shang just been assigned to protect three charming Princesses as they themselves are preparing for marriage. Mark Moseley replaced Eddie Murphy as Mushu as the silly and trouble-making dragon tries his best to keep Mulan unmarried so he can still be her guardian. The special features includes interviews with Ming-Na, Wong, the late Pat Morita, Michelle Kwan and the voice actors of Mulan II. This Disney DVD is a favorite with kids as well as parents.

Movie Review: Couldn't Beat This Deal
Summary: 5 Stars

I just received MULAN II in the mail as a gift from Amazon.com for being a Top Reviewer or something. Even though, if you look through my (so far) 250-some reviews, you won't find a single animated family film in the bunch.
The only animation I've reviewed is the sequence in the flat, gory KILL BILL, VOLUME I--and I hope to God that's not passing for family entertainment in some homes (although I'm sure it is in the trash strata of America).

So I'm giving this DVD five stars because I'm grateful for the gift, the DVD looks like it's got some good stuff for kids, and I'm sure the family that ends up with it will be thrilled.
Thumbs up.

Movie Review: We love Mulan 2!!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I read a lot of reviews saying this movie is bad, but I loved it. I was laughing out loud the first few times I watched it. My daughter loves the songs and sings along and dances everytime she watches it. I just bought Mulan for my daughter a couple months before Mulan 2 came out and the characters all sounded the same to me! Sequels are never as good as the first because they're not the same movie. Once people realize that then they will be able to enjoy them the way I've enjoyed this movie!

Movie Review: Couldn't stop laughing.
Summary: 5 Stars

I didn't know what to expect in Mulan II. I loved the first movie and waited to be impressed. I fell off the couch laughing! Mushu was just so baaaad! I felt sorry for Shang. I just wish Mushu could have learned humility at the end of the movie, after all he came so close to losing it all. I loved all the songs, especially Lesson #1 and I wanna be like other girls. It's a lighthearted movie that you'll watch over and over again
