Movie Reviews of Mouse HuntMovie Review: A live action cartoon! Summary: 5 Stars
If you still have good memories thinking about coming home from school and watching "Tom and Jerry" or Saturday morning cartoons, then this movie will appeal to you. The humor is a bit above really small children, but there is lots of nonstop action and most of it is funny, clever and simply fun to watch.Forget the fuddy duddies that complain that the humor is too sick or gross for kids, they are kicking a straw man. I agree that there is too much violence and trauma in much of what kids see on tv or at the movies, but this film simply doesn't qualify, it's a CARTOON for pete's sake. The negative reviews of this film are from stick in the muds that obvious take life too seriously. While my 5 star, "A", rating doesn't mean that this movie is as good as a serious literary type film, it's an A in the catagory. If you enjoyed "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and weren't concerned that the death of the weasels was too much for your kids to take in, then you'll enjoy this flick. If you enjoyed the first "Home Alone" and weren't worried that your kids would set up booby traps for burglars', you'll like this one too. A strong recommendation, worth owning.
Movie Review: Hilarious! Summary: 5 Stars
I think one of the most annoying things about movie critics is that they're supposed to know their stuff, but in the end they come across as just being college guys looking for something dirty to watch! Isn't it funny how they can't help but get down on a hilarious, old fashioned comedy like this and yet show them something like American Pie and it's great intellectual humor! A modern classic! Sickening! This movie was totally hilarious with hardly any sexual humor at all! Allright, just a hint here and there that wasn't necessary. Beyond that this movie was such a perfect comedy for everyone! I absolutely loved this movie! They used every cartoon trick in the book to try and stop that mouse! And wasn't Christopher Walken just incredible?!!! The casting in this was soooo great! It makes me so sad when movies like this come out and hardly get noticed by the public for whatever reason! Probably the lack of sex humor is evident and the previews and it keeps the movie goers away. Anyway I loved it! Do yourself a favor and pick it up! I've got it on VHS but hope to get the DVD eventually!
Movie Review: Delightful slap stick Summary: 5 Stars
This is a whimsical little movie, which for some reason I have associated with Christmas. I had given my video copy to the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant ward--the patients, and because of them their families, tend to be confined to their rooms for long periods of time due to the nature of the treatment--and when I decided I wanted to enjoy the film again this holiday season, I purchased the DVD. My husband and I are in frequent disagreement over films, but we both agreed that this was a "keeper." Lee Evens and Nathan Lane give totally wonderful performances as Ernie and Lars Shuntz, two down and out heirs to a string manufacturer's estate. And what an estate! I've heard it said that most performers find acting with animals a trial, but few have been this totally trashed by a "co-star!" Christopher Walken gives a stellar, if brief, performance as the deranged, commando-style pest exterminator, Caesar, which absolutely sold me on his talent as an actor. Cute and not just for the holidays.

Movie Review: Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy Vs Godzilla Summary: 5 Stars
Lane and Lee as the Schmuntz brothers are Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy all over again. I didn't quite realize it until one of the brothers waves his tie in a way totally Oliver Hardy at a couple of rather unique girls. Unfortunately for our boys they get distracted during the repair and renovation of their mansion by a very small mouse.
The mouse is small in body but not in talent and has more brains than both our boys put together. The mouse would probably be satisfied with live and let live but noooooooo our 'heroes' must eliminate this threat to their private sector and set out on a hunt destined to produce hilarious ruination of everything in sight.
Still, despite the fact that the devastation is almost total, there is a very happy ending with our heroes and Godzilla Mouse peacefully coexisting.
