Movie Reviews of Morrissey - Oye Esteban

Movie Review: Very fun compilation of videos
Summary: 5 Stars

I wasn't sure what to expect with this collection of videos spanning the Moz man's solo career. About half way through I realized I was slightly mesmerized. These are awesome videos, much better than I would have expected. Watch as the fey Moz is replaced by a fairly butch grown man. Morrissey is good at creating his own mythos, and his vids are just another part of a very powerful fist. Some of the later ninties vids were lacking, but that is made up for by all the stuff from Arsenal and Vauxhaul and Kill Uncle. I rented this and now plan on buying it.

Movie Review: A MUST HAVE
Summary: 5 Stars

A must have for Morrissey fans, essential videos of the singer from the late 80's and the 90's. All your favourites are here (although I wish it included Certain People I Know, guess i'll have to keep watching it on YouTube! haha), and this dvd is especially good if you enjoy gazing at that wonderful face and body (and all the while being entertained).
I even went out and bought a new non-region dvd player (as this dvd only comes in Region 1) in time to watch it after it came.

So basically, if you love Morrissey, this DVD is gold.

Movie Review: Best DVD ever
Summary: 5 Stars

I have watched this DVD over and over and I never get sick of it. If you were a Smiths fan or are a Morrissey fan, you need to own this DVD. Listening to the music alone does not compare to watching Morrissey interact with his bandmates (especially the tension between Morrissey and Spencer Cobrin.) I am considering buying a second copy, just in case something happens to my first one. You should also buy "He put the M in Manchester." It's a live concert from Manchester on Morrissey's 40th birthday.

Movie Review: A must for all Morrissey fans...and everyone!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very good collection of Morrissey videos. It contains videos from his first 8 CD's (from Viva Hate to My Early Burglary Years). If you don't know a lot of Morrissey's music, I think it would be a nice way to know him. Also, the videos are professional and nicely done. Much better than The Smiths DVD (The Complete Picture). A must have for anyone who like The Smiths and Morrissey!

Movie Review: Great!
Summary: 5 Stars

This DVD is great! "November Spawned a Monster" is the hottest piece of cinema I have ever seen. "You're the One for Me, Fatty" is totally hilarious. "My Love Life" is striking with its poignant simplicity.
Overall, it's fantastic.
I only wish they had included the alternate video for "The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get", but we can't have everything, right?
