The movie, Morning Glory is an excellent story. I bought 2 of these DVDs as gifts. However, when we played them, both DVDs started playing in the middle portion of the movie. The users had to forward through the DVD to get to the beginning. I would have rated the movie higher if the DVD had started at the beginning like one would expect.Movie Review: Morning Glory

I love this story. That is why I ordered this video. I had to return it once because it skipped the first part of the movie. I was sent a second copy and the second copy did the same thing. It is so frustrating that I don't want to watch this damaged video. I will only order videos that are sent directly from Amazon in the future.Movie Review: Disapointed in Seattle

The DVD was defective throughout! Started at the end, missing the middle, bad all around. Really looked forward to watching it. Very disapointed. This is a lovely movie -- one of my favorites -- but as others have said, the DVD skips the entire first half of the movie. There is, however, a way around it -- if, like me, you're really, really, desperate to see this film.
1. Play movie, which will take you to the latter half.
2. Hit the slow-mo REWIND button. I did this on my laptop, and instead of getting a black screen, it took me right into the film. I don't know why that works -- it's a huge pain -- but I was able to rewind the movie all the way to the beginning, and from there I could watch it.
When you pay for a DVD, you should not have to do this. But for those who own it already, or want to own it and know to expect trouble, that is an option.
