Movie Reviews of Montana Sky

Movie Review: Easy light fun - makes you want to visit Montana
Summary: 4 Stars

I rented this movie based on the box cover. Not really looking for a romance movie just a nice drama. I found as I watched the movie I became more and more interested in the lives of the three main characters. The writing is not Shakespeare but the movie flows and the actresses are easy to watch. I enjoyed the play between the actors and seeing Montana. Did not really need the extra plot drama of the murderer plus ex-husband - one would have been fine. Otherwise a fine drama with some fun acting. I recommend if you want something easy for an evening.

Movie Review: Pleasant movie
Summary: 4 Stars

I think Montana Sky is a fairly good movie. I do think it is hard to tell the complete story in only 1,5 hours. I have not read the book, but I can imagine they had to delete or alter storylines. Maybe they should have made a mini-series of it, would have been interesting. I had a feeling some events were very rushed and the ending was a bit lame. The romantic 'suspense' was hardly to be found. It was just a nice movie.

I read the book before buying the movie, its a little different. This is a good story with great scenes and scenery. Its from a typical great Nora Roberts book.Montana is beautiful country and it makes you want to be there, there is mystery, murder and mayhem in this story..

Movie Review: enjoyed it
Summary: 4 Stars

Guess I like it for the same reasons I liked Baywatch. Beautiful scenery, beautiful people, pleasant story, a little excitement, a little romance, nothing to serious. Not going to impress the academy, but I had a very enjoyable evening.

Movie Review: "It's Not Every Day Your Father Dies"
Summary: 3 Stars

Synopsis: It's a tried but true storyline that seems to be a popular beginning with what we designate as family friendly films. Stubborn, unforgiving old man dies and leaves his immense Montana ranch to his three daughters, all from different Mothers. As per the stipulations of his last will and testament the three women must live together on the ranch for one year in order to gain their inheritance. If anyone of them leave the land and fortune will be given to charity leaving each of them with one hundred dollars each.

Critique: I'm sure the first thing that comes to mind is "chick flick" right? Well it certainly begins that way but a darker storyline slowly begins to develop when horses, dogs and eventually people begin to show up dead all all neatly cut up by an apparently unknown intruder.

'Montana Sky' is a fairly enjoyable film that is complimented by some beautiful rugged Montana scenary and three attractive women trying to work out there differences and bitter memories of their past. What made the film for me was the gorgeous Laura Mennell who played the youngest sister Lily. Wow, where has she been all my life!

My Rating: -3 1/2 Stars-.
