Movie Reviews of Monster House (Fullscreen)

Movie Review: Fun & scary movie if cut the boyfriend's nasty act & bad language
Summary: 4 Stars

I like this movie and definitly will buy it for my kids for some scary fun. BUT I am not today because as the first viewer mentioned, there are some "adult stuff" in the movie that I will not let my kids watch. The baby sitter's boyfriend is terrible, he looks scary(which is fine with me) and talk/act nasty. Usually I will just tell my kids how not apporiate this character has talked/acted so at least they can learn something from it. Out of everything the boyfriend said and done, he has to lick a stuff animal? It is sick. I don't understand why they have to put this garbage into a kid's movie? I have tried to keep my kids away from grown up films because of crab like this. Too bad. This should be a five stars movie.

Movie Review: FRIGHTENING FUNFEST
Summary: 4 Stars

This animated film from Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis is by the folks who brought us THE POLAR EXPRESS. Althought it may be a little too intense for younger children, older youths and their family should enjoy it. The animation is superb, and the voice characterizations are top notch. The story revolves around a house that is alive and gobbling up the kids' toys and some of the neighborhood. Three stalwart younguns decide to do battle and put their misery to end. Steve Buscemi is good as the mean old man who lives in the house and other good voices come from Kathleen Turner, Kevin James, Nick Cannon and Jon Heder. Although not really a "cartoon," this critical favorite should entertain its audience.

Movie Review: Entertaining for All Ages
Summary: 4 Stars

The movie is entertaining and appeals to children of all ages. It crosses over to amusing adults as well. The animation is great and the story catches the attention of the viewer. I would highly recommend that you add to the video collection. It's not just for Halloween.

Movie Review: Monster House Movie Review
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a funny movie, but it does have its scary moments. My daughter was 9 years old the first time she watched it and was surprised at how scary it is. We both liked it. There is enough adult humor to make this a good family movie.

Movie Review: Great fun, but not for young kids
Summary: 4 Stars

The story is geared towards adult, teens, but not young kids. That thing put aside, the story is good, animation is done well with enough realism to wow you, but not too photo realistic that rubs away all the fun.
