Movie Review: One of the most unforgettable anime
Summary: 5 Stars
Under-13s will love it for the action, but if you are more broadminded than that, you will be able to see the philosophy and symbolism in all parts, particularly in the Heero/Relena scenes. If you blink you can miss something, trust me. It's not like in Dragon Ball Z, where all they do is fight, fight, and fight some more for no good reason. In GW there is a reason behind all the fighting. A lot of people compare it to Power Rangers, but I say not. These were five pilots who came to earth separately, and there were even scenes with them fighting each other, it was only close to the end they started working together. And the Gundams are much cooler and more realistic than the Zords, mind you! The politics can confuse you, but if you are broadminded like me, you will figure out the why, when, what and where of everything. And if you want to understand what's going on, you have to watch it from the first episode. If you start from the middle, everything will seem like Greek, Dutch and Latin to you.
