Movie Review: Mississippi Burning

I briefly saw this movie several years ago, it depicts very well the way things were. I met the brother of one of the men who got caught up in the ones who were guilty. He did prison time, even tho he allegedly did not do anything. I am proud to have this in my collection, i want my children/grandchildren to see what it was like when the world was so cold, hatred was rampant towards the blacks. I was glad to have someone so close to the story tell me all the details that I have remembered. It is a very good movie, it was well worth any price I might have paid for it. The fact that it was not computer generated made it even better, as I see it.Movie Review: Mississippi Burning

Though detractors claim the movie inaccurately depicts a white FBI coming in to rescue helpless blacks, I disagree: the film features some extremely courageous black characters, and at the outset, the FBI seems more muddled than heroic. Regardless of debates on historical accuracy, the movie is breathlessly exciting and extremely well-played. Though McDormand was Oscar-nominated for the small but pivotal role of Mrs. Pell, the movie is Hackman's, as he turns in his most explosive performance since "The French Connection"(and he also got an Oscar nod).Movie Review: THE VERY VERY TOO BAD..... They detests ths strangers ! They detesrs anything witch is abnormal for them ! They are BADS ! They are KILLERS since many many time ago ! But when the two policemen of F.B.I. commes they becomes COWARDS !They tempts to intimidate them but without result theirs days are now calculateds THE PERFORMANCE OF WILLEM DAFOE and GENE HACKMAN are astoundings !!!

If you like history or hate...this is the movie for you. Two FBI agents are searching for 3 missing civil rights workers, who got what they deserved by the KKK, in Mississippi. It is a good movie about a true story that happened in 1964. It has some funny parts to it, like when they hang the...from a tree, or when they bomb the black churches. It also has some sad parts to it, when they busted the KKK and sent them to jail. Overall it is a good show of what life should be like today.Movie Review: Mississppi Burning, A Hard Thing to Endure

This product was very informative and thought provoking. I have viewed this film before, but as I viewed it with my daughter I was given an opportunity to teach as we watched. I have never "to my knowledge" experienced many of the things that the film depicted, but I am a recipient of the many the blessings that the suffering of that time has produced. The timing and issues of this film are still relevant today, but the faces may longer be found behind a mask.
