Movie Reviews of Mischief

Movie Review: Something to watch after watching "American Graffiti,"
Summary: 5 Stars

Do you have, like, a lot of DVD's? Do you have so many that you started to create a rating system for how you want to appreciate your movies? I rate my movies as 1 to 5 stars and I keep a list of all my 5 star movies.

This movie "Mischief" is a five star movie to me. I discovered this the third time that I've watched it. The picture quality is great. The depiction of life of a male teenage "horndog", a misunderstood tortured soul heartthrob, and good girls who get the hots for bad boys. These issues are represented well in this movie. If you think that American Graffiti is the ultimate 50's or 60's teenage high school drama, then you better check out this movie.

This is a great Saturday afternoon matinee type film, just like American Graffiti. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys 50's and early 60's pop culture films. The cast is fabulous and the movie deserves more recognition than it's gotten.

Movie Review: My alltime favorite movie
Summary: 5 Stars

I was completely blown away the first time I saw Mischief. I thought the acting was first rate. I especially remember the scene when Gene and Bunny were getting ready to run away on Genes motorcycle and they were saying goodbye to Jonathon. When Jonathon tried to say goodbye he got so choked up with emotion he couldnt say anything. He seemed so real, excellent acting. The movie didnt pull any punches. The boys talked and swore just like true teenage boys do. They didnt soften down the language to make it more palitable for all ages. I have watched this movie at least 10 times over the years and I am really amazed that it isnt more well known.

Movie Review: Mischief, the movie
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of my all-time favorites...I'm a sixties generation person. I previously had this movie on VHS but, when I saw it available on Amazon in DVD Widescreen format, I purchased it immediately and am absolutely delighted that I did.

This, in my opinion, is a great, feel-good movie that anyone can, in one way or another, relate to their high school days. Except for clothing style changes by generation, this movie is relevant and enjoyable for all ages.

I thought the transfer to DVD was done very good.

If you like feel-good movies, buy it!

Movie Review: Excellent Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

Well I didn't expect too much but in one word, outstanding! Chris Nash makes this movie and I can't believe he never went on to do much better things in his movie career. Kelly Preston is hot and the whole plot roles together very well. In fact, one will find themselves becoming emitionally attached to the main characters and the ending wrapes up very nicely a good storyline. Although I never lived in the 50's, 60's, or 70's, the director really puts the audience there.

great film, worth the watch.

Movie Review: Great Movie - What great times that must have been.
Summary: 5 Stars

Back in the 80's I had that poster on my wall and stared at Kelly Preston every day. WOW! She rocked.

On to the movie. Great film. Truly captures the 50's feel. A lost 80's film that didn't get enough respect. A good kid meeting up with a kid who lives on the edge finds the pride he needs to stand up to the world. The scenery is awesome and the story not bad too. If you've missed it, see it. Well aged and still worth the watch.
