Movie Review: astonishing music

This DVD is a rare opportunity to watch what was perhaps history's greatest jazz group play a set in 1964. The music is nothing short of astonishing and breathtaking.
Yes, as the other reviewers stated, the filming and sound are below the level of current DVD releases. But come on (!) this is 1964. It is certainly viewable and listenable. Maybe if you're watching it on a huge panel, flat-screen TV with surround sound where you can see and hear all of the imperfections you'll be bothered.
I just watched the whole concert on a computer screen, and I wasn't bothered in any way whatsoever.
If you like this band, this one is a no-brainer. It is some of the best music I've ever seen performed in my life.
The band is playing standards (Autumn Leaves, My Funny Valentine, All Blues, Joshua, All of You, Joshua). This is before they changed direction, with the ESP album. They are stretching, particularly on Wayne's and Herbie's solos.
What a treat to watch this band at work.
